wah. who is this. so handsome. hahahahahaha. anw, was packing up my iweekly pile the day before. cos they are stacking too high and as a result some of the iweeklys got a little crumpled at the edges. so i've got to do something abt them. hahahaha. so was arranging them when i saw the lesliekee issue. on the cover there was LeeByungHun, ChoiJiWoo, TonyLeung and ZoeTay.

it was actually on LeslieKee's Super Stars. Apparently during the time when that issue of iweekly was sold, it was during his super stars exhibition. now i rememeber why i didnt go for that exhibition; cos iweekly was out like the last wk of april and that exhibition ended on 4may. so i was thinking 'wah. the photos all damn nice. but dont think got time to go since only left one wk.'

and now im regretting. hahahaha. it's actually a super stars project dedicated to the victims of the asian tsunami disaster that took like 2 or 3 yrs where lesliekee took photos of 300 asian artistes under the theme 'asia is one'. the photobook is sold at US$300. hahahaha. seriously i cannot afford that. and.. it's banned in spore[i dunno whether it still is now] cos there is too much nudity.

was watching all the nihonjin stuff that i neglected the 香江 side of stuff. and.. i just realised that survivor's law II has started airing. went down to the place where i bought my calendar last yr to ask if they are still selling the calendars [hais anw it's sold out] and then i realised they were renting survivor's law II out. it's out!! hahahahaha. only sammul from partI stayed and his character changed a lot so.. but.. wars of in-laws II is coming out on 1jan. hahahahaha. yay. 不留名!! hahahahaha. but i guess the modern story wont have 不留名. and there isnt shek sau too. they took him out conveniently saying he died in a car accident. gentle crackdown II coming out soon but i didnt watch gentle crackdown I and moses chan is not in it anymore too. and there's this show abt buildings by the old alex fong. hais. sound like a civil engin show.

Heartthrob actor Joe Odagiri to wed actress Yuu Kashii

Heartthrob actor Joe Odagiri is set to marry 20-year-old actress Yuu Kashii, it was learned Thursday.

The couple plan to choose a day in the near future to register their marriage. They were set to hold a news conference later in the day.

The talent agencies to which the pair belong said that Kashii was not pregnant and that they were not living together.

The celebrities reportedly met in 2005 during filming for the movie "Pavilion Salamander," and decided this autumn to get married.

Odagiri, 31, gained widespread attention after starring in the drama "Kamen Rider Kuuga." He won a rookie award at the Japan Academy Prize ceremony for his role in the 2003 film "Azumi."

Kashii made her debut as a model in 2001, when she was a third-year junior high school student. She entered the public spotlight after appearing in the 2003 drama "Water Boys." Her films include the 2005 piece "Linda, Linda, Linda."

went to watch the warlords. hmm. what to say. yueyun went to watch before me and her comment was that it is quite bad. and i cant really say i was anticipating this film; i went in with more of a 'let's try watching this film' feeling. rather different from perhaps love though there is still takeshi kaneshiro. actually there's a lot of films out there that uses takeshi kaneshiro as a narrator or with parts where takeshi kaneshiro will narrate. haha. he makes a.. very good narrator. his voice obviously has a taiwanese accent but it's not very taiwanese.



most of this film has this black feeling. i dont know how to describe it. like the black parts in 'hero'(the one with jet li, tony leung and maggie cheung).everyone wears black and there's this certain brown/yellow hue in most of the scenes. it changes after they took down nanking. the hue went away and it started to have more colours. and it kinds of remind me of jet li in hero.the way that he speaks, the black clothings..



and the 3 leads all have different accent. one with china accent, one with hongkong accent and the other with taiwanese/japanese accent.



it's good except the music. and i think that's why it's hard to focus totally on the film. and it doesnt make u think abt it again; unlike like maybe watching chungking express will make u think of california dreamin' and you will start to recall like faye wong dancing around, tony leung's smile or maybe takeshi kaneshiro sitting in his kitchen eating canned pineapples.



but this film makes hing dai look so bad. both talking abt brotherhood, warlords is so much better than hing dai. at the end of it, what strikes me most is still each character's character: takeshi kaneshiro's innocence, jet li's ruthlessness and andy lau's loyalty.

i've finished half the book. i guess other than my gabai baachan and harry potter, i havent been reading so seriously. it's by lily franky(中川雅也), an autobiography from all the way when he was 3 to till his mum passed away i think[haha. now im still at when he jus graduated from university]. it's very similar to gabai baachan, talking abt their lives, the struggles and the wonderful woman in their lives. in tokyo tower, it would be his mum.

another thing that is very similar btw tokyo tower and gabai baachan would maybe be their backgrounds. both grew up in the rural areas and moved to tokyo in hope of a better future and of course they were attracted by its lights, its glamour. they both started out very poor, couldnt even find food to eat. however, on the side of gabai baachan, it was more encouraging because the author started with an aim in life when he left his hometown for tokyo, which was to become a comedian. on the other hand, in tokyo tower, masaya has no aim in life. so he was living each day by it is. he does fine arts but does not know what is the thing that he truly want in life [until where i read till la].

this book is adapted into a movie and a drama, both released this year. in the movie version, Joe Odagiri is acting as masaya. been wanting to watch his show, any one of them. trailer on top. it really makes my hair stand, esp after reading half the book already. and 東京にもあったんだ is great as the theme song.

it's been so long since i borrowed something from there. and yesh. this time round, i borrowed 4 books. gasp. haha. One is Lily Franky's "Tokyo Tower - Okan to Boku to Tokidoki Oton" (literally "Tokyo Tower - Mom, Me and Sometimes Dad"). tgt with two books on how to use adobe premiere pro 2. hahahahaha.

and there's a new 佐賀的超級阿嬤 book!! haha. i think they are really some of my favourite books. the 佐賀阿嬤 book 1 is on his grandma who lives in the 鄉下, book 2 continues from book 1, book 3 is about his wife and how they move from the 鄉下 to tokyo to find a living and him eventually entering the entertainment business. and now the 4th book is about his mum.

ann has been complaining that i havent been writing about myself. hahahaha. so here goes.

hi. my name is yishu. i am at an age where a guardian is still needed to sign my indemnity forms. my interest is very wide so i guess it's easier for me to talk about what i dislike. i dislike capsicums and hawaiian pizza. i dont like volleyball and waking up early though i like the morning. i like films and photography and sound system but not the lighting system. i like aeroplanes but not really cars. i like to eat but i dont like to blog about them. because i think eating them is enough. i love music but is a poor person. i like blogging but i dont like to talk about myself. i want to help save the earth but uses tissue like no tomorrow. my sister claims that i like children and old men but in fact i love all people. i hope to learn my second instrument, the first being my dear recorder. i want to learn a third language (4th if cantonese is a considered different from mandarin). i like the feeling after bathing but i hate going to bathe because it's really quite troublesome. i sleep the best on mrt trains and i study the best there too. i like holidays because it's time i can start doing stuff i like but i dislike holidays because the start of hols would mean that it's gonna end soon. i like tea more than coffee because i think my stomach cant take coffee. i like coke but only if it's been left for some time till the gas is mostly gone. i like the smell of banks and not because they contain money. i like everest but does not have the guts to climb it. i complain abt my bad grades but does not have the will to sit down and mug. i love my calculator and pencil case.

GTO. to blog abt bijo ka yajuu another time.

there are some songs that are worth listening to over and over and over and over again. Hidamari no Uta (Solo vocal) by Emi Fujita live in 2007. also from the OST of Under the Same Roof II. 深情二佬!! hahahahahaha. must watch the canto version on youtube. haha.

last episode. episode 10. 聖夜にKISSして!

i wasnt really forward to this season, esp after the very exciting season before this with ikemen paradise, yamada taro; this season seems quiet. galileo caught my eye first because of the title. i wanted to know what's gonna happen with a title called 'galileo'(some translated as tantei galileo). and of course the second pull is from fukuyama masaharu. i could remember him from bijo ka yajuu which me and my sis watched from national tv 4 yrs ago. but bijo ka yajuu's focus was more on matsushima nanako than masha. so actually impression of him is quite weak.

galileo ended. with only 10 episodes. i think it's an okay drama. the first 3 episodes were really good, especially the first one, but it kind of went down after the 3rd, esp in the middle (episode 6,7) when the focus on physics is reduced and suddenly yukawa is a genius detective more than a scientist.

fukuyama masaharu is great as yukawa. though there are times it's quite funny to hear him speak that way. as in his normal voice is something like that but he sort of press it even down. like how we sound like if we try to imitate british english speakers. i guess it was part of his plan to make him sound like an associate prof than a rock musician or something like that. i think he's quite okay for the yukawa role but i thought he was much better as nagase in bijo ka yajuu. this is my second masha drama, so i still prefer bijo ka yajuu.

yukawa is a genius scientist (which his assistant often says that he is the future of mankind) who because was a classmate with a policeman and so he often helps to solve cases, esp those that involves strange phenomenons. he often offers his help when he realise that whatever was presented to him is very interesting. and after searching for clues he will then suddenly realise what is happening all along and starts scribbling on what he can find with physics equations. he is supposed to be a weird person but yet one who does well in sports and is supposed to be very handsome. he finds it useless to talk about feelings and does nt believe in strange phenomenons but has his human side too; he doesnt show it explicitly but will show through the stories he tell of newton and galileo galilei. but not much have been told of him even till the last episode except that his parents are very young and that he dislike feeling cold.

Shibasaki Kou's utsumi is hahahaha quite okay in galileo. but i guess quite a lot of people complain of her stiff acting and that she keeps frowning every now and then(shingo imitated this in their goroleo). like masha,this is my second shibasaki kou drama,the first being good luck!! actually i didnt really like her at first in good luck cos i tot she looks quite funny, and she looks like she's in need of a lot of sleep cos she seems to have black eye rings all the time. hahahahaha.

utsumi is a rookie policewoman who believes in intuition and feelings and strange phenomenons. everytime when she needs help from yukawa,she will try to present the case as an interesting one to arouse yukawa's interest so as to help her. his character is somehow a stupid one, rash but nice person.

there isnt quite a lot of supporting cast other than maybe Shinagawa Hiroshi as utsumi's partner cum senior, Maya Miki as the forensic scientist and Watanabe Ikkei as yukawa's assistant. the focus is more on the villians/victims of each case which are all played by actors of a certain 分量. i guess it's some sort of tactics to increase ratings.

like other japanese drama,each episode will focus on one case with a reoccurring theme to link everything up (like the episode where the guy killed himself with a bow, it was linked to this other small incident abt this archer and also abt cupid's gold and lead arrows). the focus is placed mainly on the case and lesser on the interaction btw chracters which will tend to come off subtly during the solving of each case.


the final case involves yukawa's prof. which made him even more troubled than ever.


i like how they made use of the silhouette in the scene where utsumi told yukawa that she's not going to trouble him anymore.




after 10 episodes tat i realise his face finger on face pose is actually one of fleming's left hand rule. hahahahahahaha. field current motion.




super NaK. and as the name tells u, an alloy of Na and K.


if the bomb were to go off, half of tokyo would be gone. and cool. tokyo is damn pretty!! hahahaha.




there were like computing stuff, lucas numbers and stuff. haha.


omg. Shibasaki Kou does look quite ugly. hahahahahaha.

like some other japanese dramas, the last 2 episodes of galileo are linked, in that they are the same case but maybe it's too tough, it needs 2 episodes to solve. haha.

the loot bag.

1) interesting use of physics but i think it's very hard to attract like aunties to watch. but the ratings is not bad. though of course only takuya kimura can get those 34% kind.
2) masha. hahahaa. this is his new drama since bijo ka yajuu 4.5 years ago. and btw bijo ka yajuu and his previous drama was a long 3.5yrs break too. quoting from iweekly, maybe the main reason people are watching galileo is because of masha, who 不務正業, every now and then release a single then every now and then go out and take some photographs. hahahaha.
3) the guests. a lot of efforts were spent on casting the ka-la-feis. episode 1 has Karasawa Toshiaki and episode 4's katori shingo and episode 6's maki horikita and episode 7's Fukada Kyoko and of course 9 and 10's Kume Hiroshi.
4) they really performed the experiments which makes it even more interesting than plain explanation.
5) the chatting sessions btw utsumi and the forensic scientist. hahahaha. hilarious.
6) the last 5min of every episodes. reason same as above. hilarious.
7) the times when they ask utsumi about scientists. like one time when yukawa asked her if she knew who is issac newton and she replied 'of course. the guy who cut off an apple tree and was then scolded by his father.' hahahahahahaha.

the barf bag.
1) shibasaki kou. hahahahahahaha. it's not that she's bad. but aiyah. she's weird. hahahahaha. and of course her irritating whinning.
2) the lack of character development. this drama lacks the human aspect that is so well done in most fuji tv dramas.

the movie to be out next year. people's been hoping the mathematics genius in the movie to be played by takuya kimura, since the masha-kimutaku war to be japanese woman's favourite man has been on for so long, it's interesting to see them fight it out on the screen too.

the ipod hates me. it hates me that it doesnt eject at all and so now i cant transport anything to this laptop. so i also dont know what to do now. and like the ipod, i think the people around me,have also given up on me. or at least i think i must have did something wrong. recently replies from sms are mostly a 1-word reply or maybe one sentence comprising of only nouns. and it seems like i have done a lot of stuff these 2 weeks but i have not contacted the world within these 2 weeks.like a total cut off the world out there.

these 2 weeks were mostly spent shooting. 2 shorts now. but for the 2 weeks im like seeing the same people only. havent gotten any sms recently other than those that is like 'are you free on when when when?' or 'do u want to what what what?' which is like mostly a 1 or 2 msg kind of msg with the role of informing things only.

is it that the world is too busy out there?

went out almost everyday ever since school ended. and i guess to pursue everything that i want for this holidays other than the 'pack up my room' part which got even messier after hols started. like making films, start reading my 'japanese for busy people' and to find people to talk cock sing song play mahjong. and also to get more college clothes.

one more shooting tmr. ultra short one. scriptwriting competition this fri. thanks yueyun!! hahaha.

and talking abt yueyun. haha. it's like u noe some kind of miracle. considering im kind of closed up for these 2wks. someone called me. woo.it's a miracle!! haha. u noe sometimes people like to complain and discuss abt their handphone bills. but i dunno what to tell them. cos i think it's quite unbelievable, but at this generation, at this time. there are still people like me who seldom exceed their phone bills and uses an an average of 200 sms a month.

and it's like how everyone seem to be going overseas this hols, me and my sis spent those days when we are free to get some jap food or hongkong food cos we cant go. haha.like how deprived right. haha.

i think if there's some shorts competition that has themes like urban isolation i think i can just write my own story. try and find other country food cos cant go overseas. go kino to bluff ourselves that we are in japan. sms 200 times a month only. take long shots. no dialogues. and have an ah beng squat by the road side to scold vulgarities. urban isolation.hur hur.

omg. galileo ended. just like that. i think this is the best episode of all la. episode 1, 2, 3 were good. then it dipped somehow in the middle. but the last episode, wow, is damn good. but no more galileo. hais hais hais.

and this wk has really quite some science stuff. i can only remember a few. eh NaK, red mercury, and i'll try and find out what's the rest. haha.

i think no one will ever know me well enough cos i dont even know what kind of person i am. i think if most, i think i am ditto from pokemon. okay. this is rather sad.

惡作劇2吻 is finally out!!!!!! hahahahahahaha. if u have watched the first one, 'they kiss again' (TKA) follows from what happens after the last episode; which is the story of 湘琴&直樹 after their marriage. the first episode which is 2hrs long with commercial break features their honeymoon trip to guam.

i think this time round with more experience, the first episode of TKA is more captivating than ISWAK. as in they jump straight into the story and it flows from there. and even 愛沙's supposedly irritating character is actually not that bad. the original cast is kept, even like 湘琴's friends and 直樹's family. i tot they would take away 裕樹(直樹's little brother)'s role, but yesh, he is still in.

great episode one. if u like ISWAK or u felt that ISWAK is not bad, or if u are a fan of joecheng/ariellin, or if u have never tried watching a tw drama, try this. TKA is a very good example of tw dramas. haha. moderate pace, the shots all seems dreamy and together with some comedy.

episode 1 part 1 try and find your way through for the rest of the parts.

hahaha. joe cheng!! ahhhhh. haha. oh ya. and here the director made a cameo yet again. haha. in ISWAK, he cameo-ed as this old lady and also the 直樹's gay partner (which was part of 湘琴's imagination). and in TKA episode 1, there's this scene where jiro was detained and the other guy who was also detained is acted by the director.

and yesh. now is also a good chance to see joe cheng on tv. cos unlike like Fahrenheit who can appear on tv every now and then because they sing too, joe cheng dont really appear much.

maybe to put up come caps later. but for now. more 美女か野獣. haha. actually masha is much better in 'bijo ka yajuu' than in 'galileo'. and i think the storyline, character development also better, but the ratings for 'bijo ka yajuu' was lower.

愛情故事的這種演出，就是會讓我覺得不好意思。

不過，這次我所演出的湯川学，

可以讓我完全集中在他的個性上面。

not very sure whether we are allowed to blog abt this, but yesh, last thursday, eunice got us a once in a lifetime job, to stimulate as passengers in changi airport. hahaha. it was to test out whether the signs in changi is now good enough to guide people properly from T2 to T3, vice versa.

all 4 of us got different scenarios. mine is im departing from T3. chin shyan is departing from T2. eunice is sort of like receiving someone arriving in T3 but has a sudden change to T2. and tracy's an arrival in T2.


the new sky train!! now T1, T2 and T3 are connnected via sky train.


and T3 is damn big. so big that i think if u are late u hafta run. but maybe a little too big. i prefer T2.


the aim of the exercise was to test these.

actually eunice, tracy and me were quite bored throughout the thing. because 2 of them were stuck in the arrival hall staring at tourists. and since mine was in T3, and there's nothing inside now since it's not open yet, the people from our test flight just sat at the boarding gate rotting. but. chin shyan was in T2 transit hall window shopping liquor and chocolate. hahahaha.

camp-at-the-end-of-the-year 2007 is over. hais. the 4 days went past quite fast. to watch our shortfilm 'again' scroll down. but it's really damn fun. hahaha. to blog abt this another day. haha.
