Airbus successfully completed the passenger evacuation trial on development A380 MSN7, paving the way for the Authorities to certify the aircraft in time for delivery by the end of 2006. During the trial, all of the 873 participants were able to leave the aircraft and reach ground within the 90 seconds prescribed, with half of the 16 doors in operations. The trial was performed under the supervision of the European Aviation and Safety Agency EASA and a representation of the American FAA.
One passenger suffered a broken leg and there were some minor injuries.

The main requirements for the evacuation drill are:
* 650 passengers taking part
* Lights will be out in cabin
* Half of exits will be closed
* Drill must feature 40% women, 35% people over 50
* Passengers will not be told which exits are in use
* Passengers must wear their seat belts

was youtube surfing when i found this. wah. brings back a lot of memories. i think this was shown on spore tv in 2001. cos u noe the secone lit text is little prince and then at the same time cos in HH, after ada choi went into coma, the lawerence ng will read that book to her everyday. and somehow lit lessons become a little more interesting after that.

i am really damn fickleminded. and this time. im thinking of whether to change from economics to bizad cos somehow bizad stuff are more bao-ka-liao and so it will somehow prepare me better for work later on.

and u noe now vista comes with this sidebar with widgets which u can download. and i have this application called magic 8-ball which is a lot like the physical one which u can buy outside. ask a question and they will come out with a random answer for you. and so i was trying it jus now with my econs-bizad dilema.

yesterday went to check out the LKP school of public policy and do u noe that the school fees for a MPP only totals up to only 9k? for a whole 4sems leh. omg. this is like half price of getting a bachelor. felicia wanna try anot? Masters for Public Policy. then we can too become a asst prof.

yday siewmun told me of a guy in chem engin who has a 4.9 CAP because he had only 1 A- which is from MLE cos he refused to buy the textbk. shit. i dun even have the confidence of obtaining a 4.0 lah. with critical thinking and writing, which is like a pw hell. pw was good, ctw is hellish.

i guess when i, finally settled i'll start trying for jap or korean cos the ddp is structured in such a way that i will really have a lot of bidding points. and really if i cant do well jus s/u it. hahahaha.

the whole engineering thing is growing on me. go civil go!!

engin physics is like hell. no no. it's like s paper hell. hahahaha.u noe last time during s paper i always feel very stupid cos im always like among the last to get what lau is talking abt and stuff. and in engin, the physics is like what we did during s.

school's starting tmr. as compared to the past yrs i guess this would be the worst. i haven gone to school for the whole of 8mths already. and that we are not gonna have a uniform? now i hafta worry abt what to wear too. damn.

decided to try to ISE instead of EE cos i guess i cannot stand studying something too deeply, and ISE's sort of a mix of everything. a jack of all trades but never a master of something.maybe i jus dun have that patience to study deep into something.

and im starting to fear EG1413. are they gonna make me write stuff like 'my happiest day in my life. yucks.

gonna appeal for halls cos i tot maybe i shd really try this thing for one sem. i guess it's not that very very ex lah.once in a lifetime thing. woo.

yesterday i was watching the trailer for Order of the Phoenix again (it's damn nice leh) and i found this quite interesting thing in the trailer.

there's this part where hermoine suggested to harry to start DA because "We've got to be able to protect ourselves. If Umbridge refuses to teach us how, somebody will."

and.. it continues to a scene in DA (i think their first lesson) where harry said "Every great wizard in history started out as nothing more than what we are now; if they can do it, why not us?"

and while he was saying there were flashes of scenes of wizards, maybe to illustrate his point.



the people included in the 'great wizards' were dumbledore, voldermort, mad-eye, sirius, snape and lupin.

isnt this very ironic? the very people who were included in the great wizards list end up like that.

im back. from engin O wk day1. phew. the people are much nicer than i tot to be but a little less adventurous than laojiao(woo laojiao~). day one the ice breaking day lah. cheers, tiny grp games that are all recycled so many times. [there was this game that invovled using 4 rafia strings to lift up stuff in an area. wah baing. i can still remember that it was part of sec2 orientation and we played this game beside the rock wall.]

engin O wk games are of course much more intellectual lah. the only intellectual one we had in sportscamp was this diamond clubs heart spades puzzle at the start of amazing race.

been re-reading HBP these few nights cos i realised there were too many things that i didnt understand in hallows.(like what's a squib?) u noe there's this character called slughorn, that teacher that likes to connect himself with the rich and the famous? somehow he kept reminding me of potatochan. the way he talks, the way he boasts and how he looks. but u can see i dun really like potatochan during my days, despite him being the famous best physics teacher in disneyland.

actually watched this some time ago but i was too lazy to blog abt it. esp over the stress of learning how to conquer CORS (hahahahaha.) anw, yup the 5th installment of the harry potter series.

actually i had never really liked the movies in the HP movie series cos i think the first director tries too hard to follow the book, the second tries too hard to be different.

becos the film is still a film not a novel and if u follow too closely, the films become like a follow-along kind of film. like when u were kids u will buy some books that come with videos so that u can learn better.

the second director tries to revamp HP. change how their clothes look like, the settings and also the pace of the film. the first few films are slow and maybe heart-warming. globlet of fire is like enid blyton meets signs. hahahahaha.

but. but i liked order of phoenix. finally a movie that is truly like a film. a lot of people complain that the movie miss out a lot, jump too much in between scenes and may cause it to be able to connect to the nxt film. but among the five lah, it's the only one that i watched without fidgeting too much. and i fell asleep watching GoF. the only one that i tot brought justice to HP was OoP.

now im really looking forward to HBP.

the hallow one? no character development except our favourite three kids. story a little abrupt. ending a little rushed. and too little of school. nah. and some characters really damn under developed lah. esp the heroes all appear 5s, saves the day and die. urgh. while the guy whom we tot is always good turns out to be not so good and takes up half of the book.

i tot not hearing from them would meant i didnt get it. but today i realised i got this email.
