La Vie en Rose.

Steps is totally eating up my life. maybe becos after the whole econs paper thing i already dont feel like mugging anymore. but steps. woah. jasmine u must watch this show. haha. i think u will like it.

and, like my dad, ive started to catch the 10pm show everyday. The Conqueror's Story(楚漢驕雄). it's the story of xiang yu and liu bang and how they try to conquer the world. adam cheng is great as liu bang, a hooligan who ultimately became a king. and kong wah acted as xiang yu, who also hopes to conquer china and to stop suffering in the people. they started out as very good friends but not very sure abt why they became enemies in the end. and surprisingly, someone posted it in crunchyroll. hahahahah.

and the greatest pull of the show, for me la, was that the show [maybe becos it's a low budget one (it was filmed in the same year as war and beauty and was aired straight after that)] they got a lot of the people who normally acted as ka-la-fei/fathers/uncles/grandfathers to participate in the drama as quite important roles. like wayne lai's han xin and Ram Tseung's zhang liang. (yup, the same guy in the 你有張良計 我有過墻梯. i think liza wang had this line in wars of in-laws.)

and surprisingly 霸王別姬 is about the story of xiang yu, yu ji and liu bang. woah. because i've wanted to watch farewell my concubine ever since watching 'the king and the clown' (the movie that shot lee junki to fame) because quite some people were comparing these 2 on imdb. and i dunno how to explain this. but it's funny how i am suddenly bombarded by the same thing all together at the same time. like farewell my concubine. they were comparing it with 'the king and the clown', then yesterday's 'guessx3' was talking guys dressing up as girls and they pointed out leslie cheung and his farewell my concubine. and this morning while i was eating branch there was a postcard right on the table with the words 霸王別姬. and after asking my dad on what's 霸王別姬 abt, he told me that it's just the story abt xiang yu and yu ji. woah.

so apparently farewell my concubine's not really abt xiang yu and his yu ji but more abt this group of opera people but this film draws a lot from the story of 霸王別姬 which is a peking opera play. cool. okay. after the exams. and hero and 投名狀 are waiting for me. and on the first beat too. and brink of law.

beyond's 海阔天空. live in 2003.

張國榮/陳百強 - Monica/粉紅色的一生 (粉紅色的一生's the cantonese cover of La Vie en Rose. which is surprisingly the song which i liked a lot from and i hate you so. haha. and i was quite surprised after i realised that one of the songs in the show was sang by dick lee - 'the lady is a tramp'. cos all along i tot it was a woman who sang that song. haha. so apparently he also wrote the song for that movie. woah.)

(updated: haha. omg. the background music is 粉紅色的一生.)

from this year tvb anniversary awards ceremony and gala.

this is worse than last year's phantom of the opera. hahaha.

this is definitely worse than last yr's wax museum.
