i think me and felicia are the only ones in the world who can sign up at 3 job agents and still not get a job. okay lah. felicia signed up at 4. but still, we haven gotten ourselves any job. it's new year eve so no work for our job agents. hafta wait till 3jan to noe if there are any new job offers. ):

the chinese translation is not that clear but wat he said was '出来混迟早都要还' which is hau's favourite line in IA2. haha. and i jus realised this guy also got act in IA2. he's hau's man. hahaha.

it's a great day for spore.

so the internet is slowly getting back to normal after 2 days of great lagging and jamming. heard from the news that it was caused by 4 wires under the sea which broke due to the taiwan earthquake and so we kinda have to share the wires left. after i heard this i was like omg, so we are still so back in technology that we have to pull wires under the sea in order to transmit information. u noe like the web, it sounds so connected, so 'remote control'. and then u come telling me that all that happen because we are pulling wires under the sea.

okay lah. so the internet is slowly coming back. or maybe becos there isnt a lot of people online now. but isnt it kinda mean that people out there at taiwan had their houses collapsed and on fire due to the earthquake and we are here complaining abt our jammed up internet.

and 2nd thing that i realised recently. we can take budget to places like taiwan and hongkong!! i always tot we can only budget to like thailand, brunei and places near us. but taiwan? it's quite far from here leh. so when do we have to start planning for our taiwan trip? wanna hav a joined one? so jetstar does go taiwan. hah. i was telling my sis this, and her reply was 'go and ask ur friend to give u discount lah.' haha. last time the mint and now jetstar. damn bad. haha.

2006 is ending really soon and i still havent gotten myself a job. sigh. pls pls gimme the spore pools job can? haha. it's like the coolest job we can have in town. 'oh so wat did u do for ur hol job?' 'oh. i went to ans people's enquiry on 4D, toto and yesterday's horse races.' hahahaha.

and the shows that i wanna watch are piling up. a-wang borrowed from felicia's friend, nodame, hanakimi, academy, catch the uncatchable, dif4, forensic heroes, dicey business, cib. everything watch a bit only.



and ron ng seems the same in all the dramas. those naughty teenager who makes his parents worry and in the end become one matured man. or something like that.



watched my third zhangyimou movie. the scenes were all so magnificant. they got like thousands of kar-li-fei to act as the 宮女s and soldiers. and they wasted like damn a lot of chrysanthemum cos in the battle scene they jus got tampled over. so i was tellin my dad that they were really wasting a lot of money on the chrysanthemum, and he replied 'aiyah. chrysanthemum is cheap. imagine if they chose to put roses. they will be broke loh.'

read from iweekly that the soldiers they got in the show were real soldiers. haha. 'soldiers. we have a big task today. u have to go and act in the new zhangyimou movie.'

the plot is quite predictable but i was quite convinced at first that gongli will succeed in her plan, she didnt in the end. damn.

and 衝上雲霄 is ending soon. belle is sort sort teh(and her hair is getting messier and messier), sam is still so teh/tia(he talks like a girl!! haha. like how he likes to pull his last word of his sentence and go round and round in a tia way. haha) and zoe is still all smiley(stop smiling pls!!).

did u watch yday's ep of triumph in the skies? there was jiaming!! if u have watch net deception (aka the wong hei computer show), he is the cmi spy. he looked kinda irritating in net deception, but he look nice in triumph. haha.



great adventurer ended on sunday. i think for the whole series i can only stand the last ep. okay lah. in fact the last ep is very nice. it has a much faster pace. the ep in the middle is damn boring. i tot they were going to kill off baihuo, (it's quite expected that fan shouwang will live lah. he's like the rich and clever one. sure wont die.)but baihuo got good ending. yeah.

remember some time ago i had this post on this sprite ice ad. this is a coke one. and very much similar.

lalala. celebrated xmas with yueting, felicia, yueyun yesterday. i think it's sort of a pre-xmas celebation. do u noe xmas is on monday? i tot it's on sun lah. so we celebrated xmas on 22 this yr. aiyoh.

so we started the day going to techpt. haha. my fault. was going down to collect my confession of pain stuff. and while walking to techpt we took a wrong route and ended having to walk across this large patch of grass. it was raining before so the whole grass patch was muddy. so 狼狈 lah. and while we were walking we came to realised that there was a fence around the whole grass patch thing. felicia suggested that maybe the grass patch is those 'state land: no trespassing' kind of thing and people will come and catch us when we reach the other side of the grass patch. and we were so ready to climb over the fence. before yueting realised that there was an opening in the fence and that we could jus walk out. phew.



the confession of pain gift is not bad lah. there's a mousepad, notebk, poster and a pair of tickets. but i didnt realise the person gave me the takeshi kaneshiro poster!! i only realised when i opened to see it when i reached home. i wan the tony leung one!! oh. and talking abt posters at techpt. haha. i think the people there are quite funny. the last time i went to get the departed stuff with ong, they gave us the leo dicaprio poster cos she was thinking young people sure wan leo dicaprio while the older women will like matt damon one. so i think this time the woman must be thinking young girls like takeshi, older women like tony leung. hais. gimme tony leung one leh.

so we walked and walked and walked before we went back to yck mrt and take 852 to hc. haha. cos there was track camp and yueting wanna go back and find her juniors. u noe how big is hc? haha. actually felicia and i were quite reluctant becos we didnt noe anyone there lah. and so felicia suggested going back to ny. yah. i also wan. haha. cos i wanna go find my friend whom i have nv met. and felicia came up with the excuse of wanting to go back to ny to find her pet fish emily in the toilet bowl. haha. wat the hell. lousy excuse.

but in the end we stayed in hc. and played cards. haha. bridge, big2 and spilt. felicia and i kinda trashed yueting at first. but her junior came to help her and trashed us. played until the hc people had this horror movie screening and so we zao to town.

didnt do much in town becos most of the shops were closing by 1030pm (actually it's kinda late for spore malls right?) felicia anticipated midnight shopping lah. but she saw the wrong date for midnight shopping. it was 23-25dec. and yday was only 22dec. hais. slacked around. exchanged present.

today when i was out with felicia today, we were in courts lah, and at the section where they were selling apple desktops, they were playing movie trailers to showcase how clear their screen are. and there was this computer which was showing the trailer for 'Letters from Iwo Jima'. and wat shocked me was that there was nino!! he's this guy from the grp 'arashi'(the same grp where matsu jun is from. u noe the new kindaichi in kindaichi3 and the daomingsi for the japanese version of the hana yori dango drama)



nino leh. i always tot he is those idol idol type one? and somemore the movie is an angmoh one. woa. from imdb that 'letters from iwo jima' is shot back to back with 'Flags of Our Fathers' and they were both directed by the same guy. so it was sort of 2 movies, abt the same thing, from 2 different POVs.

and while i was surfing the site i came to the page on pirates3. hahahaha. do u noe that chow yun fatt is in it?



he is acting as a pirate from singapore the place where jack sparrow so happen to land in. hahaha. so i guess the people in the background are singaporeans lah. chow yun fatt. hahaha. a must watch. even more so if u are a singaporean.

my second zhangyimou movie. ann said that this is a nice show. but i'm not really keen of watching shows with zhang ziyi (or. to be correct ziyi zhang. *tsk tsk* how can she succumb to the evils of the angmohs first name before last name) okay. i have to admit i only paid 60% of my attention while watching the show. esp the first 1.5hr of the movie.

so it started out that andy lau and takeshi kaneshiro were policemen and they were on a task to kill the head of this anti govt grp that uses flying daggers. the 2 of them helped to kill the first head and now they had to kill the new one lah. then they heard that someone in that clan works in this brothel. so they went to check it out and found this blind girl who was believed to come from that clan. so andy lau sort of sent takeshi kaneshiro to be an undercover(ho ho ho. infernal affairs) sort of thing to get close to ziyi zhang and then to ultimately find the clan head.

wah biang. and comes the boring part. where takeshi kaneshiro and ziyi zhang had to escape from the policemen from all over the country. jus fight fight fight. but the scenes were very very beautiful. and then come the climax. andy lau is *spolier* an undercover for the clan *end of spoiler*. wah biang. infernal affairs har? so apparently he likes ziyi zhang and she likes takeshi and takeshi likes her. haha. the men fought for her.

cos andy lau knew ziyi zhang would release takeshi kaneshiro. so he threw this flying dagger at her cos he was angry lah. so i tot she died. omg. halfway thru the fighting btw andy lau and takeshi kaneshiro she woke up!! haha. she jus kept going btw dying, not dying, dying, not dying. hahahaha.

the scenes were all so beautiful. but the plot is quite stupid here and there. even worse than hero. hero had a weird plot. house of flying dagger has a non-existence plot. hais.

jus now was reading iweekly's article on gongli. she sort of laughed at zhangyimou's 2 (commercial) movies (omg. the only 2 zhangyimou's movies that i watched) that he should go back and be a cameraman. so i guess he shd be better than how he seems to be in these 2. so. yay. i wanna watch curse of golden flower(wth. why the english title has nth to do with the golden amour? hahaha.). chowyunfatt, gongli and jaychou. shd be not bad. oh. and also zhangyimou.

and andrew lau and alan mak new movie pain of confession with tony leung and takeshi kaneshiro is also gonna be out. on the exact same day as death note 2. alan mak. his shows shd be not bad lah.

难兄难弟!! hahaha. omg. i tot i'll never get a chance to watch this again since we cant usually find this kind of old shows on youtube. but. muahaha. i finally found somewhere where i can watch it. it's so cute!! haha. it's funny. no. it's very funny.

i'm watching 刑事侦缉档案IV at the same time. actually now to watch dif4, can really see that it's a show that was filmed 7yrs back. like how the leads have rather obiang hair and dress um rather obiangly also. but old time buddy seems okay. cos it's set in the 60s. and it's damn cute. haha. if francis ng's character in triumph is likeable, he is even more likeable in old time buddy.

in ep1, he works in this dimsum cafe. then there was this 4 customers who hid the dim sum plates under the table after finishing becos in the cafe they count the number of the dim sum plates to charge u. (hey. this sounds like the sakae gimmicks that we have always been talking abt. like hiding the sushi rice in a plastic bag during sakae buffet. haha.)so francis ng gave them their bill lah. then after they left he found the dim sum plates on the floor. he was scared that his boss would scold him, he threw the plates out of the window. and the plates hit the boss's daughter, some rather fat girl, who likes him. hahahaha.

nxt sunday's the last ep of the great adventurer. actually i didnt really watch the show. caught like 10min of the starting of the show every other wk. the pace of the show is rather slow so somehow i could still catch what's happening. it has a nice hk cast: francis ng, flora chan and dayo wong. oh. talking abt dayo wong. i watched 'to catch the uncatchable' till ep7 now. it's dumbly funny. but the jokes inside are very stand-up comedy kind of jokes. like how they play with names like marco ngai's character's romeo to carrot head and dayo wong's sir is called 'sze-ko-but'(stupid) and then to add in song and dance ah, to play with words ah; the jokes are very stand-up comedy type.

okay lah. this is the first ep of 'old time buddy' watch it when u are free.

it's always nice to read the article on star awards on i-weekly right after it. it's like they always seem to point out stuff that we are thinking of at the back of our head and yet no other media bothers to talk abt. haha. like the stuff abt sin huey and the not-very-funny-menguo-
trio, the kinda weird mavis hee..

oh. and talking abt sinhuey. omg. i saw her new mv. the one where she um was unbuttoning. i think of all the superstars she got the best mv director with nice filters and colours.(did u watch weilian and kellypoon's mvs? haha. i tot sly's one was quite bad already.) but the part where she was caressing herself. hahahaha. omg.

actually i didnt intend to go st james cos i thought it would be quite stupid if we get stranded outside again like last yr(we went down to mdc hoping to get extra tix from the people there but there wasnt any. hais.) but my sis suggested going to jus check out the red carpet thing since 'zheng yuan chang only comes to spore once in a while'.

and so i went. and wah. standing beside the red carpet with the fans also need tickets. i think mdiacorp is kinda crazy.(did they expect thousands of people to go down and root for christopher lee and fann wong?) so i suggested sitting on the overhead bridge near the venue to watch the event since it was the only place shielded from the sun and had a good view of the big screen too. hah. and guess who i saw. the model twin from school. i think they are part of star awards. i was thinking in my mind 'i bet they are those guys ushering the stars down the stage or something like that lah.' haha. they seem to be everywhere hur? seventeen magazine, nets ad, prom.. and apparently these few girls beside me knew who they were too. so i msged a few ppl abt them and brenda replied that she's at that place too!! haha. cool. and her comment on the model twin being at star awards too was 'so gay lah' haha. true.

good things dun last for long. the security guard came like 15min later and shoo us up onto the overhead bridge. and a crowd started gathering on the overhead bridge. i think they were scared that the overhead bridge will collaspe or something so we had to move down. and this was when i saw anson goh. finally. i got to see him. since huimin and aileen all saw him before except me. he's quite good looking lah. not like how badly addy lee described him in u-weekly.

and we were blocking the entrance to the so called mosh-pit(though the viewing angle is still damn bad from the mosh pit) so we had to move to the concrete walkway. hais. see lah. no ticket no talk. but one guy from mediacorp was nice enough to get all of us into the mosh pit though we didnt have any ticket.(he was the only reasonable guy there. the others were so LBL; made me think of the NUTS syndrome coined by simwonghoo)

we were on the right side of the mosh pit and the viewing angle was quite bad. most of the stars looked how they looked like on tv. but daylon kuo and joe cheng were exceptionally tall or maybe unhumanly tall. they are so so so tall!! haha. and of course francis ng. he came out as a nick cheung, jessica hsuan and him trio. but they looked really weird. nick cheung was shorter than jessica hsuan and while jessica hsuan had her arm in nick cheung, francis ng was weirdly tugging her other arm. haha. and he was chewing gum while he walked. i thought stars aint supposed to chew gum once they get on the camera?

and then at 7, the ceremony started. actually i suggested going home to watch but still it was quite cool to watch outside st james. since there were fans and the ambience. there was a big screen outside st james and like half of the fans who were there for the red carpet left before the ceremony started.

st james looked so cram on the tv. haha. seriously. everyone in st james seemed to be squeezing and one pan of the camera and we can see everyone. do u think the venue was nice? i prefer mdc. it has the classy feel. st james makes the whole ceremony look so informal.

the whole ceremony was quite boring. as in no one did anything crazy that is worth to be put on the headlines for wanbao the nxt day. except huangyiliang. i was quite shocked that he won the award again. um. i think the others deserved it more than him. it's like watching anthony wong getting golden horse twice(but still, i like anathony wong so much more than him, though anthony wong is a little on the crazy side at times) and huangyiliang seemed to be drunk when he was on stage.(i knew they shdnt have held the thing at st james) qiyuwu seemed a little weird too when he went up the stage to get his top10 most popular award. he was sulking when he was giving his thanks. maybe he was expecting himself to get the best actor award?

but i enjoyed watching linanxing and ivy lee on stage. okay lah. quite a lot of people didnt expect them to win or even whether they did much to be worth the award. but i like their feng du. i dunno. watching them getting the award jus makes me feel very comfortable.

francis ng's mandarin was bad. and nick cheung's was worse. haha. but i tot the part where he said ‘他做了什么？’in respond to christopher lee's speech where he apologised for his drink and drive incident was quite funny. he and jessica hsuan are damn bad presenter though. haha.

the after ceremony party was quite redundant. maybe for this yr. they spent most of the time interviewing the guests from overseas. wat's the point? and the guests looked so out of place.

okay. shall talk abt another thing. rmb king and the castle? adrian chan kept talking abt what this theme of death and impending doom. it's like there were symbols every where from chapter1 abt death and we will expect someone to die in the novel lah.(though kingshaw's death still came as a shock to me)

and triumph in the skies too used the impending doom thing. haha. after their.. attempt in ep5 to play with parallel(the part where belle and vincent were haing a nice dinner and sam was stuck at home eating spaghetti made by issac), there's this impending doom thing in ep27.



belle met this lady on the plane whose husband died and then she was bringing him back to hk or something. belle saw that the lady was acting weirdly so she offered her ginseng tea and then the lady said that it was her husband who prompted belle to give her ginseng tea. so belle thought it was very romantic and vincent told her that if he died he would ask someone to offer her tea too lah.

wah biang. quite big hint ah. still haven watched until that part but it was quite obvious lah.

oh. and i borrowed this bk from the library on infernal affairs. it was a quite interesting book becos it had notes from the director and the actors in it. alan mak talked quite a lot on IA2 which was quite interesting becos i didnt really went to notice the symbols while watching the movie. like why he chose 1991, 1995 and 1997 these 3 yrs for the movie.

and there was this part where he said talked abt hau(francis ng's character) hau is a new character in IA2 and also the person who is driving the whole story. he didnt seem to be the lead character in the show but everything seem to happen in one way or another becos of what he did. and there was this part where alan mak said that what's so interesting abt francis ng is that u can give him a character and he can put so many kinds of personality to the character. and for IA2 francis ng chose to give hau a kind of 'student' feel. his character is supposed to be shy, reserved and not fit to be a triad boss at all. hmm. interesting. i tot hau was more of a hidden tiger couching dragon kind of person. and more of a CEO style triad boss. maybe i need to re-watch.

i think francis ng shd be crowned the friend of raintree or something. infernal affairs II is a joint production btw media asia and raintree(that's why u get to see tay ping hui in it). and if u got watch 2000AD(this movie with aaron kwok and james lye and phyllis quek and lian kai(i like him!!)), francis ng acted as the villian. do u rmb? haha. all i could rmb was james lye and aaron kwok and that hello kitty chop on his head. and rmb zoe tay's movie 'the tree(孩子树)', francis ng acted in that too. woa.

i'm still in a daze. woa. i tot i would never ever go straight to the star awards without a ticket again. and hah. i still went to the st james power station without any ticket in hand. becos this yr's overseas guests are too too too attractive.

this yr's star awards isnt open for the public and so the public could only get tickets to get themselves seated(at the carpark) outside st james and to watch the big screen there.

francis ng. omg. u have to see him in person to believe he is 180. he is really 180. he is so tall. and skinny. haha. he went down the red carpet with jessica hsuan and nick cheung but nick cheung was pale in comparison standing nxt to francis ng. francis came down with his usual swagger(why cant he walk properly? is it some after effect from old time buddy? he seems to be walking like patrick tse all the time) and he was chewing gum!! hais. quoting brenda 'so act cool' haha.

he gave out the best drama and best actress award. his interaction with the co-award presenter was damn bad for first. half the time i was like 'wat is he saying?' and the other half checking out his red tie. but the 星闪闪 action made up for his bad presentation. haha. he's quite funny for the best actress award and most probably the award presenter who made the fans outside st james power station laugh the loudest with his '哇！！你们这么开放的啊？我们在香港也没有这样！'

and there was joe cheng tgt with dylan kuo. they were joking with their height. um. okay lah. joe cheng seems a little fat. i thought u tend to look fat on screen and slimmer off screen, not the around way round?

and there was anson goh. haha. i think it's the biggest thing that made this trip down to st james worth it. stood quite near to him and he's quite good looking wah.

and one thing abt mark lee. i was cringing so hard when mark lee misread 包小柏's name and called him '小白'. and he did not jus say it once but repeated over and over again. 有边读边？ seriously xiao bai sounds so much like a rabbit.

and jessica hsuan is quite pretty too. haha.

okay. now i have to get off the ah-lian-5566-chaser-screaming-auntie-oggling-at-cute-guys-like-chenjianbing mood. and everyone around me seems to be faking a taiwanese accent. '嘿~ 仁甫超帅leh' hmmm.

i've been telling jasmine that i wanna watch this show. cos i heard quite a lot of good comments on the show lah. and somemore there's mosses chan. hey ann, there's mosses chan!! haha.

and so just now when i was playing audition, i vaguely heard this advert from the tv in the living rm abt this upcoming show. wat 明争暗斗thing. and the OS in my head was like 'aiyah. wat 明争暗斗sure wont win 金枝欲孽one lah.'

and guess wat's the ad on. bingo. 金枝欲孽. wah biang. buy 4D also never so zhun. channel u's gonna show 金枝欲孽 nxt yr jan. cool eh? hope by then i can get some 9-5 part time so i can watch tv at night.

went to bukit panjang jus now and hey they really got the calendar there. haha. actually i was expecting myself to go there rent some vcd and to get it for free. but i bought it lah.

and i think the surprise of this calendar came from kenneth ma. haha. he's much better lookin like this than the roy guy from 冲上云霄. tgt with him on that mth is sunny chan, haha. my fav actor from dif4. so this shall be my fav mth.

oh. and there was the golden horse award on tv jus now. and i reached home jus in time to watch vivian hsu and francis ng give out the best supporting actress award. and sigh. they tried so hard to joke but i guess they had some communication barrier btw them and the joke was not funny at all. haha. they tried to poke fun at the paparazzi abt dunno wat incident where vivian was having a meal with some guy and they caught francis ng at the same restaurant with his wife. um. i guess they were the only one laughing at their own joke. sad. haha.

sidetrack. i'm thinkin of getting a job at photohub or maybe to be part of the crew for concerts that kind of event. cos at least this is sth i noe since it's my cca last time. but how to get? hais. haha.

oh. i went to giant with mei today. haha. and i dunno whether i haven been buying shampoo for some time or is it the new trend. u noe shampoo always have wat soft and silky, dry scalp, and now they have this new kind called shiny black. and the shampoo is black too. haha. so it's supposed to colour ur hair black while u wash or wat? haha. and it's not jus one brand. 2. 2brands came out with the shiny black kind. har?

and the dove shampoo still has ms sab on it. and it's getting a little disturbing now. haha. it's like 'ho. let's go get some shampoo!! omg. why is ms sab still here?' hahahaha.

Anson Goh. hais. he's already out. the song's 爱情不能做比较. i tot he sang well. somemore he's the first guy i voted for this yr's project superstar. aiyah.

rmb a few blog posts ago, i blogged abt this show called 模范棒棒堂 hosted by fan fan. the show's aim is to groom this few guys into stars. and hah. their first grp is out, consisting of xiao yu, xiao jie, wei lian, ao quan, prince and ah wei(from left to right). they are the chosen 6 from 棒棒堂 who can release an album under this grp. cool eh? haha. somehow they gives this feeling of johnny's entertainment.



and talking abt johnny's entertainment, hana yori dango part 2 cm is out!! the cast is still the same(jus that they had some makeover and their hair look horrible. haha.) and it's gonna be out nxt yr.

every yr i say i wan the calendar, every yr i dunno where to get it. haha. read from some blogs and forums that we can get this from rental shops and they will give u for free if u rent from them. but where?

until now i only noe of 3 rental stores. one at jurong point, one at bukit panjang and one at huimin's hse there the redhill one. the closest one to my hse would be the bukit panjang one but still a little far. hais. haha. and actually i also dunno wat to rent now. i wanna watch the academy 2 but still not out yet. hmm.

proms are troublesome. it's not that i dun like to go for grad nights, but the idea of shopping for dresses, getting ur face and hair done and then to walk in heels just puts me off. but anw, i still went for the recent one.

it was... okay. like any other grad night(or prom) but the food sucked. really. it was damn bad. comparing it with the one we had during graces camp and the grad night during our sec4 yr, the food at ritz is damn bad. sigh. i miss the mandarin hotel chicken rice. shd have eaten more during the sec4 grad night lah. haha.

and actually prom wasnt very entertaining. during our sec4 grad night we had games ah, bands(with everyone actually sitting down and listening to them) ah, the one we had at ritz was quite boring.

the bball girls. omg. why do we look like this?

went kbox after prom. and we sat there from 12am to 6am? haha. i think it's the most ex slot of kbox. and everyone was either during volka or smoking. it was only us who drank ice lemon tea.

i tot i was going to miss the golden horse award becos i was at work when it was supposed to be on air last sat. but heng, really heng, they decided to live telecast li jiawei from doha and so golden horse is now pushed to this sat and sun, with the sun one at 2pm and it's the full golden horse awards ceremony.

omg. are u excited? there's francis ng!! haha. he's giving out i think the best supporting actress with vivian hsu. and so coincidentally the female lead in his new movie lah.

but the funniest moment of golden horse is the part where eric tsang and sandra ng were giving out the best director award. watch it.

and the second nxt big thing(or maybe the biggest event for us sporeans) is that star award is also on this sun. and guess wat. francis ng is gonna be a guest for the ceremony. woa. he's everywhere.(and he has a sporean wife?) other guests for the night include nick cheung, jessica hsuan, xiao bo xiao song, tony sun, zax wang and joe chang. not bad eh?

must watch until the 5th min. hahahaha.

watched the first ep of CIB. i think they tried to be innovative and took another approach in filming. the 'view from different perspective approach'. at first we were made to look at the day from wong hei's point of view, then this female reporter and finally bowie lam. it's um different lah. but very tiring to keep seeing the same scene over and over again, jus that the point of view is different. it was only thru these 3 ppl we got to see the whole story.

the most interesting part of the show was the part where they made a spoof on internal affairs. the scene on the right is actually the part where anthony wong gave tony leung a watch for his burfday on the balcony(if u can actually rmb that).

and check out wong hei. he grew fatter!! haha. and he's a policeman in the show btw.

but i shall jus stop at ep 1. it's interesting but doesnt really capture my attention. watch 衝上雲霄!!

talking abt 衝上雲霄. there was this time i was watching the show with my dad when there was this scene with only sam and vincent. so i told my dad,

'u see the guy on the left (referring to joe ma), go round and play with woman and now wife run away lah. to dunno france or italy.'
and my dad replied 'yah loh yah loh.'

and i continued, 'then the guy on the right (referring to francis ng lah) go club and kiss and hug another woman lah. hais.'
and my dad only said, 'izzit? i noe his wife is singaporean lah.'

a show with scandalous leads. hais. haha.

oh. forgot to talk abt my 2nd part time job. couch potato. yay. do u noe how shiok it is to slack? since like aug i've been telling myself, 'yishu, u study now okay? after As u can go and play liaoz mah. okay ah. 乖 come, read ur notes.' wah biang. everyday i've been cheating myself into thinking the good life will come soon. and yesh. it's finally here!! so now my part time job is to watch tv. yay.

this show is called 模范棒棒堂 hosted by fan fan on channel v. it's very much similar to我愛黑澀會 jus that it is the male version. they get around 20 under-24 guys and then to groom them into stars. it's very interesting to watch them. haha. my sis introduced to me. and since im free now. yay. i shd watch.

i'm quite lucky. this is jus the starting of our long vacation (hey takuya kimura!!) and i'm having some real new experience. first, contacts. hais. it is so hard to get it on!! u noe ppl always complain abt drying eyes, reding eyes. but i dun see ppl complaining abt how difficult it is to put that thing in. why??

so today i went to the optician to learn the art of putting in contact lenses. and so she showed me the pull ur eyelid up, and pull ur bottom down. so i tried. i pulled my eye lid up. yeah. i accomplished half the task. and then to pull the bottom down. oops. my top goes down with it. hais. so i spent 15min struggling with one eye. i was really fighting with my eye lids. then the other eye. and then it was time to take them out. how do i see where to squeeze? hais. so another 5min for each eye. and to put back again. so i spent 1 whole hr struggling with my eye lids.

second. my new job. as a ride operator. at a pasar malam. it's quite a slack job lah. we start at 6 everyday and end at 1030. job scoop: open ur booth, clean ur ride, tend ur booth and then to keep ur booth. mine is this small train thing. kids(very small) sit in it and the train jus keeps going round in circles. good ah?

u noe they always play this thing before cm break. eh. i dunno how to say. jus look at the pictures below. and i think this is one of the many things i like abt 衝上雲霄. it effectively brings out what they wan to express and still not get all too cheesy. there's 2 versions to this. apparently the old one and the young one. and i like the young one better.

the three of them look super duper cool in the first 2 frames. and i like the part with the 5 of them (S4 and zita) jus standing in one line and laughing. it jus feels very.. nice. haha.

and there's the old version with sam, belle, vincent and zoe. i dun like this version as much. first, becos of the first frame with zoe; she seems to be lookin at sam lustfully!! and in the 2nd frame the smug on vincent's face.

the screenshot above is from the ep that is gonna be showing on monday. sam became the first chinese captain!! haha. and this shot is quite cute lah. all of them gathering round sam's cake to take photo.

and check out the tong brothers in pink. haha. i dunno why they were chosen to wear pink. but 2 pink men? um.

this is the first morning sam's gonna go to work as a captain. i think the funny thing is wat sam said. his mum wanted him to get dressed quickly cos she wanted to see him in his handsome uniform. and he said, 'I'm always handsome, Mom.'

and there is an increasing number of scenes with S4. and they are getting more likeable. (: and it's actually quite shiok to see all 4 of them in one show. i think we cant get another show with the 4 of them tgt.

and tada. this is i think the handsome-est moment of francis ng in the whole show. he became the first chinese captain and becos of a small accident, he had a blood clot in his brain, affecting his vision and his future as a pilot. he reached the peak of his career and fell straight down awww. it sounds damn cheesy lah but francis ng could make it feel so devastatingly real. here he's asking flora chan if he shd go for an operation.

i'm not really keen on supporting any one of the conestants for the new project superstar. it's not that they are not good, but i jinx anyone whom i support. haha. serious.

let's see. from the first spore idol, david lim and christopher michael lee. first project superstar's wei jian and wei chong. star idol's cheng xi. super host's hong guo an. 爆笑新人王's ying ying. super band's brods. SI2's jay lim.

can see the trend? they all got sent home before the finals and some even quite early in the competition. see lah. how to support now?

i hope kevin and anson wont get kicked out so soon. *pls pls* haha. cos mag is already out.

Francis Ng as Sam

The best performance of this series and I never expected any less from Francis Ng. His work in "Triumph" is iconic. The last time I saw him in a TVB series was in "Old Time Buddy" and he was fantastic in there. He's fantastic in here too, giving an absolutely commanding performance as the super-intelligent but honest-to-goodness Sam. His eyes brimmed with joy, spilled in tears, wavered in confusion, and watched in earnest. When put up against anyone else in this series, you realize just how good of an actor Francis Ng is. Whenever he's on the screen, he owns it. You forget entirely that Sam is being played by an actor...Francis Ng IS Sam in this series.
Remember the very last episode when he successfully proposed to Zoe? I clapped during that scene because I was so moved by Francis Ng's portrayal of Sam's joy.

There's just one minor wrinkle. There's bad English, there's worse English, and then there's Francis Ng's English. Trust me, it doesn't get any worse. That isn't very fair though, since the other actors' English is just as bad as his. But Francis had this grossly exaggerated voice when he was speaking English that I was literally on the floor from laughing so hard! Another thing that had me laughing my head off? His hairstyle in this show that was greatly reminiscent of Elvis. Rumours have it that he designed it himself. But, with Francis Ng's terrific performance I found him to be good-looking. Not in a "Oh my, he's so dreamy and hot" way but in an ordinary, too honest, good man kind of way.

On the Supporting Cast

Shek Sau and the lady who played Mrs. Tong gave hilarious performances as Sam and Isaac's parents and I was pleasantly surprised at veteran Shek Sau being able to play a comic character. His gestures and voice were appropriately silly, and I loved it when Sam referred to him as Phillip rather than as Dad. Lam Hiu Fung was predictably funny as Paul, and Louisa So shines as the blunt and reluctant Ruby. Long one of TVB's most underrated actresses, she's funny and likeable as the often harsh but actually good-hearted Ruby. (i like ruby!!)

The Barf Bag

1) The impossibly positive and perky Zoe. She's so totally chipper that it's irritating at times.
2) Flora Chan's crying scenes. It was torture to watch her try to squeeze out some tears.
3) The actors' English. Most of the time I could only figure out what they were saying by reading the subtitles! If TVB had so much money to finance the airplane scenes and abroad scenes, couldn't they have sent their actors to some English lessons?
4) Coco (Vincent's younger sister). Not the actress, but the character. Spoiled little brat who needs a beating or two.
5) Belle, for the reasons named above.
6) The "love-pair" items in Vincent and Belle's apartment. Pink bowl, blue bowl. Pink towel, blue towel. Pink apron, blue apron. Pink cup, blue cup. You get the idea. A little too cheesy for my taste.
7) The overexposure of the Triangel doll.
8) Please give us a villain!! A villain, TVB, a villain! This is one thing that this series is clearly missing.

went down to poh kim today to check out their collection of tvb drama series vcd. now i noe why people nowadays still rent vcd. korean and taiwanese series are quite affordable, costing u around 30bucks to 40bucks for one show. so i tot there isnt sense to rent this way. but check out the tvb vcd. they cost around 20-30bucks for one part and one show normally has more than one part.

for example, take triumph in the skies (it's relatively cheaper cos it's an old series) in poh kim. it says $49.90 but poh kim is havin a sale and all tvb shows at 50% off(i think it's a long term offer). so 25bucks. there are total 4 parts to it.

$25 x 4 = $100

100bucks for 冲上云霄!! wah. die. and if u choose newer shows like the hotel show or maybe healing hands 3, they cost around 35bucks for one part. now it's really 'hi. my name is expensive.'

yay!! now is to go to nanyang. hope they gimme something to do.

oh no. 唐亦琛's fan base is expanding. first is belle, then belle plus zoe and nxt wk, belle plus zoe plus vincent's sister!! shoo. shoo. why so many pp like him one. haha.

rewatched无间道, and this time from the perspective of倪永孝. actually he's quite poor thing. at the start of the show, his father was murdered. and then through his scheming ways he managed to create a new empire which collasped so quickly. then to realise his brother, who is a cop, betrayed him.

“出来混的，总有一天要还”

i missed the first few ep and subsequently one or two episodes of 冲上云霄 so after searching for sometime i managed to find someone who posted the show online. it has subs in english and was in cantonese. nice. and it's much funnier when u listen to the jokes in the original one.

but somehow it kinda made me cringe while watching the show. first, the extensive sub in the show. it's gd lah, it shows that the subbers were making an effort to do a good job. but why do they sub the theme song too and somemore the sounds!? haha. really. look.

they even sub the 'hmm' and 'yeah' and everytime i watch the opening i will be like 'ahhh. stop it...'

and the 2nd thing that made me cringe was the scenes in which sam (or vincent) tries to speak in english. haha. omg. i think this scene is the classic. cos it was supposed tat the captain position was always held by angmoh (sam became the first chinese subsequently) so they had to speak english in the cockpit. haha. and there was this line as u can see from above.

i think francis ng was struggling and said 'there is goin to be some *pause* turbulence due to the *pause* thunderstorm' i think he was trying to recall the big words. heh.
