it's 2008 already!! damn!! 4 more mths and it's gonna be 二十拉警报!! hahahahahaha. so. omg. this is so unreal. some time ago we were still talking abt 2008 olympics like some kind of joke and it's here already.
so on the 3rd last day of 2007, felicia and me went down to film stuff with torch.

and i managed to finish 2 books. wahhhhhh. hahahaha. of course the chinese translated version la. but very lazy to go find pictures of the covers in chinese.
the first one is "Tokyo Tower - Mom and Me, and Sometimes Dad" by Lily Franky and second one is 《妈妈，我好想你》 by 岛田洋七.
i dont know whether this is some kind of coincidence but the story in these 2 books are so similar[as in considering the whole gabai baachan series]. and together with the spin-off (tokyo tower radio and me sometimes mum) by fukuyama masaharu on his allnightnippon blog; they are 3 stories that are so so so similar.
i guess all 3 of them are somewhat of the same generation of people (those baby boomers after war). LilyFranky's from Kokura, 岛田洋七's mum is in Nagasaki while he studies in Saga while masha's from Nagasaki. the stories focuses more on their mums because LilyFranky's dad is like 在江湖有地位的人 and doesnt live with him much, 岛田洋七's dad passed away when he was 2 due to after effects of the atomic bomb and masha's dad is like another 江湖人物 who played mahjong everyday and didnt bring money home one. it follows on with their story on how they went to Tokyo in search of their dreams and the people in their life. and how they once had no food to eat, no money and their struggle to today. and of course their mums in their lives.
talking abt tokyo tower. hahaha. cos yesterday i was watching a small part of tokyo tower movie and there was this scene where masaya went to his father's house to get a television and his father then took out this 8mm video camera to film him and said 'it's a movie. u should do something.' hahahahaha. cos it's the exact same line from the 'daughter' trailer for 14th sundance festival. i dont remember that this was from the tokyo tower book, so i guess it's some sort of spoof for 'daughter' or something like that.

so went on to check out the director for daughter. he's called kosai sekine and actually has several short films and advertisements under him. his first short film, which i think is quite famous, is called right place.
i dont know why but it somehow made me feel very uncomfortable. i dont know. haha. as in that guy's too crazy already la.
but he has this advertisement called 'Find your gift' which i quite like.

okay la. some abt our life. eh. bidding starts from tmr or the day after tmr. hais. and i havent check out which rounds i can bid. most probably confirmed on microeconomics I for the core one and exposure im thinking of japanese studies. and the rest allocated ones are physics II, math II, computing and eg1108. sem2 starting soon. ahhhhhhhh. so gan cheong. hahahahaha. the hols was too short. i have not even finished blinking and it's already over. my sis's starting school tmr and it's making me very gan cheong. cos im gonna be at home all alone tmr morning looking through the bidding stuff. hais. and i need a 4pointsomething nxt sem.
im gonna so miss ctw..
