it was fred's last lecture yesterday. ahhh. me and jingxian is so gonna miss him. without his 'pond'(point), 'daa-gram'(diagram) and 'set-it-up'(for double intergrals), life is so gonna be boring. really hope MA1506 is by fred too. so after his lecture yesterday everyone clapped really hard for fred, although half the LT werent listening to him already in the last half of the lecture. haha. but yesterday was the first time fred could crack so much jokes in 1hr.
first the one abt doing surface integral. he was telling us for eqns that have z=f(x,y) jus let x=u, y-v and z=r(u,v) because then we dont have to trouble ourselves but thinking what to sub. 'the intergration may be a little difficult but it will not be too difficult' hahahaha. on the reason why we shd do it this way. and halfway through lecture when this guy's handphone rang with a loud ringtone like some chinese opera and he stunned for a moment before saying 'i guess we shd come back here. hur.hur.' okay la. fred is one interesting elderly.
though it's two wks to reading wk and 3wks to exams, the whole yearone engin people dont seem to realise it. and those with ctw are still worried abt oral defence (like us. ahhhh. this is worse than pw.) and the rest seem to be busy with some thing or another instead of worrying abt exams. was asking wei lei that day on how's ddp and whether i shd change my second degree to business, he said was saying 'aiyah. those business people never come engin before of course they think business is tough la. seriously business is damn easy as compared to engin.' hahahaha.
oh. and on ntu. hais. in the end they directed the letter i sent to the mae people to the office people. and the answer i got was so lacking in sincerity. summarised: no u cant transfer now. please wait till nxt yr. no credit transfer for u. though there may be exemption for u. apply nxt yr and we'll tell u wat u are exempted. TG is still available for u (although they didnt state explicitly whether i can get it for my fifth yr). so reading from mae's website i realise u can try and complete ur degree in 3.5yrs. if so heng heng i can get exempted for 6 modules and above, maybe with some rushing i can finish in 4yrs like the others and not worry abt the money. hais. u better gimme a reasonable exemption la. physics math lab computing and material science shd give exemption la. if can effective communication too. all i lack now is discovery course 1&2 and orientation camps la. the rest is the same loh. somemore i need to study more. statics and mechaincs of material and nxt sem the introduction module to EE which is not needed in ntu. exempt me u west people.
