back again. and these 6days had been long. longer than how the taiwan hk trip felt like. it was very fun though. a really big eye opener and a great start to the new campus.
day one was spent mostly in the campus. first off, the typical camp games and camp cheers that no one shd leave out. nanyang and ac had quite a few cheers that were similiar but at that place, the cheers are super duper different, and much less subtle. like how i spend 6yrs of my life cheering shan ge (hei~ shan shang liu shui xi li li hei~) and dynamite (nanyang/ac dynamite, dont messs with dynamite. bom bom bom.), now we were cheering stuff like estacy wa bo jia, CID wa bo kia~ and let me show u my koo koo~. which makes cheering a much more enjoyable experience.
and games are no longer jus polar bear (hahaha. sb5's favourite all time), there are like r-o-c roc, andee's animal game and the best sounding dong kak, doki, um chi chi game. hahahahaha. and the forfeits are freaking sick lah. licking nipples, belly buttons and to pass stuff with body parts other than the hands. hahahaha.
after the ice breaking and team bonding stuff, first off was pool games. tried scuba for around 5secs, tried rowing on the life guard board, threw a few water bombs and performed an impromptu syncronised swimming. woo. the feeling of breathing from the oxygen tank was freaking cool, suddenly it felt like we humans are not so chained to the surface of water and that somehow we could do some much more beyond. woo.
after that in the night it was sp night. sp stands for secret pal, something u will get in all camps lah. cos i heard almost all camps are sponsored by SingleDesperateUnwanted and so they had to have this match making thing too. first everyone is made to blindfold and to talk to 4 persons of the opposite sex before they can choose who to become their sp.
talked to like 4 guys and the first guy was my s-paper classmate and juncheng's friend. hahahahaa. recognised him straight from his voice lah. no fun one. kena someone i noe. the second was from np and sounded a lot like a mud. he's interesting lah but think i sounded too boring for him. the third's a malayasian who's cool lah and wishes to go back to malaysia to study medicine. the forth guy's this 186cm guy who plays weiqi and does tango. (erm.)
hahahaha. and i chose the np guy followed by my ac friend. then the malaysian then the 186cm who seriously was on a different frequency as me. and i got my third choice lah, the malaysian guy. woah. yet another malaysian guy after terence who was both my angel and mortal (wah. how frequent does this happen?) so i tot okay lah. have another terence kind of person as a friend in the new campus also not bad. and so it ends there. the whole thing happened with us blindfolded.
ended the day by writing one postcard to our sp, bathe and slept. slept at 4plus woke up at 7am.
daytwo was a day out. went to east coast to play frisbee (haha. stupid.), skate and windsurf. wah biang. roller skating is freaking hard lah. i lost total control of my feet to gravity. i tot windsurfing was freaking hard but it wasnt that bad afterall. i tot my balancing ability shd be quite bad so not possible for me to reach a stable position. in the end i mangaed to get up for around 3 times, super fun lah.
after that we headed to kallang to try dragon boating, kayaking and to play soccer at the cage. i didnt even noe the cage existed lah. played with a few girls from another og, super fun. hahahaha. dragon boating and kayaking as a expected was super fun too. though kayaking was a little no kick after all the kayaking in obs.
before we could return for more group games and another letter to our sp.
and then we had has mass dance. first time i tot mass dance was super fun. maybe becos i liked how it was chereographed. danced with his guy from our neighbour og-xiao bai.
then went off for supper at the famous prata place. slept at 2am woke up at 7plus am.
daythree. the day at sentosa!! beach games beach games. a lot involved those pass-the-bread-with-mouth game and to roll in eggs. sick but now to think of it, it's actually very fun. spend the whole morning moving around as a og and the later half of the day representing our houses for the telematch.
and that night was also sp night. the night when our sp is finally revealed and we will have dinner with him/her. the guy turned out so different from what i expected lah. he was so ac. he knows jesse, barry and boon kiang cos he was from fairfield. which i think he loved a lot.
following dinner was fright night. yay. the highlight of the camp. seriously. they rented this mansion thing in sentosa and made it into a haunted mansion which u had to go in with ur sp. hahahahaha. super scary but fun. damn shiok. the first ghost was like voted the most scary ghost. she wore this nanyang uniform and held a teddy bear in her hands. hahahaha. but i tot she was okay. aiyah. fellow nanyang girl mah. ghost is also once a nanyang girl. how to become scared of her. but i was quite freaked out by this ghost who suddenly came out and grabbed my ankle. ahhhhhhh~
dayfour we spent the day in school to tryout the land sports like floorball and canoe polo. okay lah. but halfway thru it rained and so more og games at the hall. and after lunch it was the commencement of our amazing race. and omg it was the funnest AR i ever had in my life. cos last time i joined one which was really up for money but most of the time we jus had to run from places to places to find the place, super boring. whole day read map and take bus only. for this AR we managed to go snow city, cdans, take the dhl hot air balloon and do wall climbing. the last stop that day was at east coast for the start of urban challenge. snow city looks damn boring on tv but it's really quite fun. becos of the lack of resources/budget the girls had only one glove and the guys no glove. touched the snow accidentally with my unprotected hand and it was freaking cold lah. cos it was supposed that only 6 can play and the rest to watch only. in the end the others in our og had a chance to play too but they were in shorts. hahahahaha. so they slide down the snow hill in shorts.
for urban challenge was that all the groups are given this route which they had to cycle to and to complete the chllange at each stop, all from midnight till 6am, on bike. quite a pity i didnt get to go cos of the lack of knowledge and the lack of hand eye coordination and the ability to keep myself balanced. i couldnt cycle lah. heard one of the stop was esplande and the other mightnight kbox. heard from one og mate that spore is super duper pretty at night when u travel on bicycle ay night. shit. missed it.
but then they had this cycling clinic for us the folks who somehow couldnt get the it to cycling. and guess what, i managed to learn it. hahahahaha. though i fell damn hard once. straight on my hands and face. this auntie in east coast saw me and was so shocked her mouth was like wide open. hahahahah. thank goodness i wasnt disfigured but my elbow was bleeding due to the abrasion with the ground. but now i still wobble a hell lot and cannot travel for more than 5min or else i would topple. more practice!!
dayfive. morning came and our AR continues. first stop SKI360degree for cable ski. woah. i was quite lucky cos someone in my og backed out last min and so i had a chance to. cos we were beginners we used the knee board not the wake boarding to ski. but the feeling was super shiok. must go again another day!! it was then my toe nail came off cos i think it banged into something when my board flipped. the mo-mo people were super nice and got me to stay with them and to drive me down to the last stop. had to miss the two stops in between though, one was motocross in town and the other banana boat. hais.
lasts stop was a 5m dive into the pool in queenstown. didnt dive but it was damn fun to watch everyone jump. it's like jetty jump but with pool water and no life vest. hahahaha.
and then it was the sports camp bash which was a clubbing night (in pyjamas!!) at the nus guild house. it was okay lah, but not really clubbing, a more innocent version. before our og headed for sheares hall to play for the whole night.
daysix. last day which was this morning. this is really the most boring day of the 6. played tug-of-wall (the real kind, with ropes and such) and watched people play push ball or something like that.
and sorry to those i disturbed when i complained that i hated the camp lah. hahahaha. cos i really couldnt find someone to talk to during camp. hais. maybe i was on a too different frequency. hais. my fault lah. but the games were great. jus that maybe it gets a little boring here and there when i felt too neglected. now that the camp finished i really feel like going for another.
and oh. i saw so many other people in the camp. nanyang senior cheryl (long time no see!! she changed so much), acbgt lining and jasmine's friend rachel. surprise. i know more people than i tot i would. hahahaha.
and union camp has wanhua. hais. shd have signed up for that with yueyun. nvm. there's still orientation.
