finally saw the Last Friend cm my sis was talking abt some time ago. omg. the biggest shock in my life la. what happened to ueno juri? cos finally a show that stars ueno juri and eita. so excited. and ueno juri is like this? omg.



i guess this drama is going to serve as some sort of social commentary. focusing on the different relationships between people today. and the 5 leads are like the up and coming(self proclaimed) artistes today. haha. stars Ueno Juri, Eita, Nagasawa Masami, Nishikido Ryo and Mizukawa Asami(i like her a lot in nodame).

finally finished masterphysics. haha. it was not so bad, even without knowing what the questions were asking. i just kind of took the equations from the tb and subbing whatever values they gave me. and miraculously, the answers turn out to be correct. although i think saying this sounds like some jerk or dunno what, but i always felt that we had to understand what's happening before we can start doing physics questions. now i know. u can not know anything and still do physics. haha. but seriously i hafta start mugging. lagging too far behind the rest now.

i dunno whether this is some sort of illusion because mid term is finally over, but tonight i feel a little free-er than normal.had some time to pack up my room, (which had been in a state of mess ever since mugging for mid terms started) and to *yay* watch the 9 o'clock show. oh.and this wk's iweekly has kangchengxi's blog. cool. he keeps a blog? haiya. but it's a pity that he's at ntu. we only have red been.. the golden road smallest sister and.. our SDE friend. this is so sad. haha. oh. and we have our enginclub mascot. hahahahaha.

me and eunice had our shift thing on sunday to do duty at the sc booth on sunday. woah.and the goodie bag they gave out at mpsh5 is really good. a feb08 FIRST magazine, a big bag of chips (which i realised later is overdue) and some other random good stuff. haha. oh. and there's 4 pieces of AAA batteries. damn. if we have known earlier, we would have gotten it for film xposed.

after knowning the exisistence of 洋蔥 from boojunfeng's blog, i've been on a lookout for it whenever they mention the word 楊宗緯 on radio or tv. and it's really not bad la. haha. it sticks to ur head somehow.oh. and i want to watch Keluar Baris!! hahahaha. jio me to go if u are interested too. im thinking of to join SIFF as a volunteer usher but the digital homelands dateline is getting very near too.hais.

because of the mid terms i've been putting a lot of my stuff aside. to mug and mug and mug whenever i had the time to. because if not i would not have time to study at all. like math. i skipped around 5-6hours of lecture in order to mug for the mid terms and i think it has started to snowball. but the mid terms i dragging a little too long this time too. tmr, again, im gonna pon another hr of math for my last mid term.

several projects coming up. like film camp and nuFIVE. and sc comm has started to get busy too but i guess the most sai-gang part for programme cell is already over because the overall plan and theme is out. we are left to put the ideas into reality.

and of couse JS project which i had conveniently stuff it at the back of my head. thank goodness there's jasmine to remind me abt it. holding 3 academic books on my hand but none seems to give what we want to know abt.

do u read sunday zaobao? haha. cos actually my dad is some sort of a fan for sunday zaobao. and sunday zaobao's always have this smaller tabloid size kind of portion which talks mostly on arts and have a 2 page span of comic. and today's cover story's on kelvin tong. did u know he did law for his undergrad? haha. my sis read the review on his 第一誡 and she said sth like the movie is more than the normal horror genre movies. a little like the oyayubi sagashi kind of movie i guess. but before i could appreciate oyayubi sagashi, i was already too scared to continue with the movie.

ya. so after mid term's over. i need to catch up. really. with every thing that i am currently lagging in.

and if nth goes wrong, we are gonna have a photo shoot on wed. yay. havent tried photo shots in my whole life. wanna go experience how it is all abt.


21 This looks quite promising. it's abt this group of 5 MIT students who tries to rob a casino by engaging in blackjack counting. cos unlike the other casino games, players of blackjack can have a little bit of control on the probability of winning cos the very probability of obtaining a certain combi of cards can be counted. unlike like roulette which u cant control, or u cant really control much other than constant observation of the habits of the dealer on how he release the ball. looks quite cool.

u hafta admit that this is really a well done drama. and this is like the only drama that me and my sis will watch on tudou when we miss episodes of it.cos it's really good!! hahahaha. the pace is good (unlike the 7pm one..) and when they try to make u laugh, u can really laugh.

and the 'mediacorp mode' of acting in actors have reduced. good use of veterans, good topic. haha. i just like it a lot. first time im bothering more abt the 9pm spore show than the 10pm hongkong show.



and of course the greatest draw comes from sdy. haha. civil engin. haiyo.

nevermind the papers gave it a 2-stars review, i like it anyway. no. actually i like this quite a lot. haha.

it is almost how you see from the synopsis and trailer, 2 persons, who meet only every other feb 29th. stars Wong li-lin, Ananda Everingham, Qi Yu Wu and Joan Chen [the last 2 are also in the home song stories]. and a few surprises here and there by like Vernetta Lopez as Li-Ann's good friend and er.. who do u expect to cameo in a movie with Wong Li-lin?

like how many critics put it, the film has fallen into the line of cliche-ness, like maybe the typical girl-meet-boy story and only to realise what what what when she's getting married to someone else, but i thought it had so much more than what it seems to be giving. the little things la. i particularly like the part where Ananda's Jeremy after getting the little note from Li-Ann used a lipstick to write 'OK' on his hands and dashes onto the road as his reply. and of course i love the interaction betwen Li-Ann and her 3 other friends.

oh. and another thing. other than English, the film's mainly in cantonese!! woah. it's really a nice surprise for me. first 'ah long pte ltd' and now this has cantonese too. and finally. i am hearing Qi Yu Wu's canto.

actually to think abt it now. the film really has some parts that are really cliche. like the calendar with a quote part, the lying on the roof part.. oh. and the Qi Yu Wu and er.. so spoiler.. but yah, the Qi Yu Wu's part.. and QiYuWu running in with the love letter. oh. actually it's quite cliche leh. ahhahahahahahaha.

but i dunno why. but i really really enjoyed this movie a lot. if u stop being so rational, go in and just fall straight into the film's world, this movie's actually quite nice. and quoting from somewhere i forgot - i have never seen singapore so beautiful on film. maybe it could be better, maybe they could have more locations, but it made singapore look rather nice.

and this film has casted so many beautiful people. so beautiful that it's rather hard to find such a bunch of people in real life.

oh. and i just found out that all the joan chen's parts were filmed by a different group of people, some sort of marketing gimmick by raintree to attract more audience by casting joan chen. she acts as the older Li-Ann and her story comes in segments in the film and acts as a transition to bring different parts of the film together and at the same time maybe have some breathing space between the different leap years. but i dunno. the editing and transition between he 2 time periods are quite bad, some dialogues were so plainly redundant and forceful, the filming style was so different. okay la. simply i really disliked the whole 'future' part.

oh. and QiYuWu's KS. woah. although his character is really small, his airtime may be even lesser than joan chen, but he's not bad in this movie. i like him in this film more than.. maybe that guy who hugs a chicken. haha. haiya. why xieshaoguang?

and how to say. there are films that will make me talk a lot about it after watching it. and there are some that will leave me with a bittersweet feeling for days to come. and this comes as the latter.

woo. new look. actually not too new. cos it's the same template i used on my wordpress blog (which never made it cos the blogger import tool hanged after importing 764 posts and i gave up on that). so yay. found a xml template for this template (which is orginally a wordpress template) and made it my template now.

the tweaking took me a whole 3hrs. hais. cos initially it was too narrow and couldnt fit a lot of my original blogger widget and stuff. and the person who made the xml didnt make full use of what the original wordpress css stylesheet provided. it totally ignored the sidebox features, the bg colour was wrong and they didnt bother putting in that search bar on top. played around with the original css, the page source of my wordpress blog and tweaking the xml of this blog before finally i got the look i want.

now i think i kind of waste my whole afternoon away doing stupid stuff when i shd have been mugging for ec2102. and thinking whether i shd go on some summer school. hk or korea? or the hk cum korea one? or not go for any and stay since there's sc08 and it's quite bad to suddenly pangseh everyone. hais. the more i look at the waseda exchange, the more i want to go for it. if ntu doesnt offer that then i really feel like staying for the sake of waseda. haha. but till now. i better starting properly. because going to waseda and end up not even knowing how to order my dinner is quite bad.

anw. i feel like watching leap years. no. i think everybody around me seems to want to watch leap years too. haha. woah. first time everyone's giving so much support to a local film. oh. and august rush's coming out too. or is out? but watch that. i think it shd be not bad.

oh ya. and i think the 9pm show is getting nicer and nicer. at first the trailer was nice. episode 1 was not disappointing. and now it's getting even nicer. how to say ah. it's funny if u just want to get entertained. but at the same time it's sort of like a social commentary. beneath all the stupid stuff the bunch of neighbours are doing, it actually reflects a lot of stuff happening in singapore now. and unlike like maybe hand leg, this drama is much light hearted and in some way it's a little similar to how our sitcoms are filmed but yet it has a strong storyline going on. and the actors are all damn good. actually most of them normally play like small characters in those big mediacorp productions but here when they themselves are the lead, they make the drama even more interesting.

oh. and there's jiang chengxi. yay. haha.

i wouldnt say he's a very special director. but not bad la. oh. he's also the script writer for loss:time.the first episode was not bad but subsequently it sort of went downhill. kind of looking forward to his first feature film. it's adopted from a novel and starring kaneshiro takeshi (his last japanese movie was returner).

After about an hour, he wakes the Engineer and hands him $100. The engineer politely takes the $100 and turns away to try to get back to sleep. The programmer, more than a little miffed, shakes the engineer and asks "Well, so what's the answer?" Without a word, the engineer reaches into his wallet, hands the programmer $5, and turns away to get back to sleep.
