this is getting better yet. i think now my fridays are all spent in front of the computer. 星光3 and last friends. omg. haha. anw. i think this is one drama that makes u feel satisfied after watching it. like how huimin and bren also say abt feeling satisfied after eating something (or more often than not the not-satisfied feeling. haha), watching last friends is super satisfying. it's like watching dicey business or healing hands. it leaves u thinking after watching it.



so the story continues from where it left off last wk. when ryo wants to throw a chair at masami. woo.



my favourite men in the show. haha. eita's takeru and ruka's father. i like the part where ruka tells her father about how she like to climb trees when she was young and also got hurt from falling. but her dad did not stop her at all but instead stood at the bottom of the tree to just make sure she dont injure herself too much or something like that. as in, he will not say 'don't do something' to her. it kind of reminds me of the climb tree story where 2 boys were climbing a tree, one mother shouted 'what are you doing!?' and the boy was scared and fell off the tree. the other boy whose mother just stood down there and looked at him did not injure himself.


eita has some secret. that he hai till now still do not know.



wah. so many caps. but anw, i capped so many because did u see, they violated the 180degree rule. hahahahahaha. serious. one time michiru is on the left. later she is on the right.



nice colors the top3. this was when ruka told her coach "so afterall there are differences between woman and man." (because before that she felt that no matter man or woman, they can do the same stuff, just as well)



sosuke is as crazy. haha. and it's starting to cause a lot of problems to michiru. and the cap on the top right corner. u see 3 holes like the one on a bowling ball? sosuke burned himself with a cigarette while waiting for michiru. seriously la.


so yay. eita moved into the sharehouse.





it's interesting that they were paralleling sosuke's torment on michru and a game of 'old maid' at the sharehouse. but i dont really get what they are trying to say with that parallel. though i thought the part where sosuke was talking about the way ruka looks at michru and then u see ruka. ya. haha.



this is really the emotional peak of the episode. this scene didnt last very long. but wah. resounding. resonance with me. hahahahahahhaaa. michiru after beaten by sosuke, came to the sharehouse to ask ruka for help. and quote of the day is by eita 'At that time, you realized you'd protect Michiru no matter what, even if it meant risking your life.'

i like this performance a lot. but hai. they didnt pass.

Ep2 is still as good. haha. now we get to know more abt the characters. but hai. i think the progress is still quite slow. each character tries to hint something about the future with their OV and it makes you want to know more. i think there are people who complaining how fast this drama is going. but har okay la. when i was watching hero i had to keep pausing cos i couldnt even catch the dialogues. this show is actually quite slow already. haha.


so we continues from last episode where masami went to sleep over at ueno juri and mizukawa asami's sharehouse. and so '不在' means miss call? haha. ryo tries to be friendly and patch up with masami. but anyone with a brain will know he's gonna exercise those violent acts again.


we see that ruka's getting better at her practices and her coach says that she might just win the next match. and we get to see ruka's cool dad. he is one cool dad. i mean with all the 'heavy male and light female' things in japan (tsk Confucianism) it's not that easy to see like a very friendly father on jp telebi. maybe other than 鬼嫁 (hahahahahahahaha). but really cool dad. and i think the only thing that is holding back ruka from her ahem acts is her dad.


ryo's sosuke is getting really freaky. he went to masami's hse without telling her. got her year book back and drew a big cross on ruka's name. mad man. now his dv is not as much of like hitting her (though he still slaps her here and there) but it's turning into a psychological torture for masami. and there's eri's friend. who has nowhere to stay because his wife brought another man to their house. haha. so poor thing. so yup. new member to the sharehouse.


new tv. and we sort of start to see eita's fear. and that he's starting to like ruka.


masami's senior at her workplace looks kind of like the 3rd sister of 閃亮三姐妹. hahahahahahahaha. right. the one that got act in it started with a kiss 2. eita dropped over at masami's salon to get a haircut. and sosuke's jealous that michiru is cutting another man's hair. freaky guy. so he was so angry he went home and asked masami to cut his hair and attempted to cut his own ear to scare her. crazy.


ruka met with an accident during her motorcross competition. and sosuke's angry that she didnt go home straight after the match.


this part is damn funny. because ueno juri is injured but she wants to go to the toilet so eita suggested piggyback her there. and then she said 'oh. thanks. (okay la. it was onegaishimasu. but 'thanks' is somehow the equivalent mah)' and she wacked his back and said 'you think i will say this, stupid.' hahahahahahaha. and this time round sosuke tried to throw a er.. chair at michiru. and we see ueno juri running over to protect masami with another quote of the episode 'dont touch my michiru'. hai. haha.

finally. i(actually it was me and jasminepang) handed up our project to dear shumin's box at 4:05pm. and the end of my torment. while the rest are all finished and done with their ctw, i was still struggling with our paper. finally. really. a huge rock off my back. 2 projects for 2 sems. really fj-ing.

and now. it's time for me to start mugging. i think this really sounds very bullshit, but i really have not sit down to study properly since school started. there were cca commitments, the project, readings and i-dunno-whats. i knew i went to school. but i kept pushing the learning process backwards. it was like, okay, i shall finish this chapter after my so-and-so. but the day to study did not come. things came pouring in. and yesh. now. it is now. i still have 8 more days. and my exam will finish in a wk. damn. 8 days to compensate my 4mths of not studying.

before Change starts, i guess we shall watch some cm. and.. there are 2 new cm on the gatsby website.. that features even weirder dance moves from taku-kimu. hahahaha.



i genuinely think that the 2 CMs will become a hit here if they decide to air it on national tv. so before the new face mask dancing craze starts in spore, watch it first.



u know why they have white face? cos they are wearing face mask? those that will help to unclog your pores and to keep your face smooth. ya. wear them and see how bad you will look. hahahahahaha.

seriously i am someone who loves happy ending, shows with motivated people (and if they are not, they will come to become one on the last episode) and stories that makes you feel that there are loads of hope in this world. but surprisingly, i come to like the first episode of last friends a lot.



i think this is how i like the rose a lot. it's a little dark. the people does not so right stuff. like in the rose the 4 siblings all have the same mum but different dad. the eldest sister kind of isolate herself from the world. the 2nd brother seems flawless. the 3rd brother eats a lot and somehow have some feelings for the second brother. and the last, who is acted by ella, is new to the family and come to fall in love with the second brother too.

it sort of deviate from the norms. instead of providing you with answers. these dramas ask you. question you. and make you think about why stuff are like so. every character is presented as a human being, not a man, a woman, siblings, and make you think more. i like it a whole lot. and now. last friends look super promising.



okay la. im biased. because i like everyone in the main cast. so it feels more comfortable watching them act too. i shall take back my 'masami is quite fat' after seeing a few scenes of her in prodai. she's not very fat la. haha. and surprisingly u got to make ueno juri man to see how pretty she is. she was pretty in nodame. but now without the bangs covering her face, you can now see that her features are really very nice. haha. and eita. haiya. his hair. i think the people at fujitv has something against him and constantly make his hair look funny. and dry. hahahahaha. Mizukawa Asami is like how she is in nodame. and she kind of reminds me of Esumi Makiko.



so the first episode starts off with masami. i presume some time in the future. she's pregnant. we hear her OS. she is reflecting on the past and at the same time she seem to be writing a mail to ueno juri. im thinking that ueno juri might have died. but my sis thinks she just got to a place far far away.



we are then brought back to present time. masami seems like a happy person. but slowly we see that she's bullied at work, her mum is er quite a bad mum. we dont see her dad. she has a boyfriend(ryo nishikido) but soon you see that at times he can go crazy and start beating her up.



ueno juri tends to distant herself from people. she is a motorcross racer. and many times you will see her calling it her passion. while shopping she saw her long lost friend (masami).



eita is a hairdresser in the day and bartender at night. a very modern trendy type of person. he works with a lot of females and i think quite a few of time likes him but he doesnt really take any fancy into them. and Mizukawa Asami thinks he is gay.



ryo acts as masami's boyfriend. a supposedly caring and gentle person. as seen from his job(he works in some prevent child abuse centre). but then we see the dark side of him. he can suddenly become violent. kicks and slaps masami when he thinks that she has another man outside.



we dont see much of Mizukawa Asami yet. she is a CA. always looking joyous, always laughing and seem to have a good life. but somehow she dont go well with her colleagues. and i think the most impt line she said in ep1 was something abt it is hard to work with women when everyone will scheme against everyone.



and their sharehouse!! omg. it's so nice. when ueno juri said it was one hse shared by 4 people and they share a living rm, a kitchen and toilet. and the monthly rent was $500plus i tot it will be some pok house. but it's so nice.



some nice looking bicycles. and some nice looking people. i hope episode 2 will still be as good la. if not, i think i will just switch to the prime minister show. hahahahaha.


trailer for episode2. u know me and my sis had a fun time guessing what the title of episode one meant. DV.. DV.. and then we both exclaimed 'domestic violence!!' hahahahahaha. yeah. so it's literally 'troubles that cant be told to anyone. domestic violence. pregnancy and forbidden love.'

from the cm i already expected this to be some sort of a social commentary. like 神啊！請給我多一點時間 (hahahahaha. somehow i think the chinese title for this drama is cooler). it discusses some of the issue of the current generation. but woah. what shocked me is how 精致 it is. and how it's so 富有現代感. it's so modern looking. and i dunno. it is really a very daring drama i hafta say.

Masami Nagasawa. okays. i will stop saying that she is fat. she's quite pretty la. her part focuses on (like the word on her right) love. she has a broken family, a lousy mother and a boyfriend who exercise domestic violence. and a high school friend who likes her.

Ueno Juri is. hmm. a motorcross racer. and she sort of keeps herself from the norms. she dont follow the crowd in a way.






till now we dont really know much abt eita. he's a make-up artiste. a bartender. so practically a very modern person.




Mizukawa Asami is a CA. not much have been said abt her too. i think she will like eita.






ryo works in this welfare unit for abused kids. and yet he's damn violent to masami's character.
