and they got this extensive series of hair dye, which u cant find in spore. and of course, a new series of wax called 'moving rubber'. (cos i think they are following up on the rubber wax that came up with the previous season, now they have rubber in all kind of waxes.)

took my first batch of kids yday. boys. 20 odd boys. i heard the other coaches that the girls are damn bimbotic, spolit, and damn rich. wah heng. the boys i got are very normal but very very naughty. hahaha.

woo. i jus got a call. to ask me wat's my eye degree and whether i got astig. that's all. 'okay, i will keep u informed.' hahahaha. okay. means i still have chance to go taiwan. pray hard that they are so slow by the time everything's done it's already mid may. yay.

now i feel like getting an office job for another 1 mth. at least i'll have another 800bucks. to do something i like.

i feel kinda guilty now. cos i haven been working for 2 whole wks. and i didnt realise that. starting my 'sometimes got sometimes dun hav' job soon. i hope the people there are nice. and for felicia to end her job soon, so she can join me in my 'sometimes got sometimes dun hav' job. hahaha.



so while i have finished all my school and scholarship applications (phew, they were damn troublesome lah), i'm now a full time tv addict. watching 'always ready' now. and it's not bad leh. the ratings wasnt too good for this show i guess. but i'm like the whole GFS team. eps the cadet pilot kelvin, it's quite funny how he's damn scared of bowie lam.

oh. and im watching both miracle and hard fate, and i got very confused over the two shows. hahaha. cos in miracle, joanne peh is gonna like john chiang (eh. then why is his chinese name 姜大卫? hahahaha. apparently he's also called david chiang. hahaha. damn stupid. so is he john is david?) and in hard fate damian lau is gonna like flora chan and since it was both 'wth? why they like the old man' scenario i kept mixing the plot up. and all old men tend to look the same, like john chiang and damian lau and ti lung and paul chun. hais.

i noe this is damn old lah, but this is my favourite scene from meteor garden II, or maybe my favourite scene from all taiwanese dramas. watch.

i got a shock watching this. now i feel like im betraying IA, this film is much much better than confession of pain. unlike IA and the subsequent movies from the director duo, protege does not focus so much on the screen(i guess becos the alanmak and andrewlau started out as cinematographers and derekyee as an actor), its focus was on its plot.

everything in the movie seems so real. i tot i knew quite a lot abt drugs (with all those anti drug campaigns which the govt tries so hard to try to get the message through *why not jus screen protege in schools. the kids will get a shock*) but it was so.. um.. enriching.

at first i was quite reluntant to watch the film cos from the trailers u can see that cinematography was really jus so-so. but omg. the film is good. it's so gross, it's so gruesome, yet so captivating.

and this is the first time i understand why they say andylau is no longer an idol, he's an actor. andylau is damn good in protege. and derekyee managed to protray how an undercover will feel. as compared to IA, i tot danielwu's character was in a worse state then tonyleung.

protege has no 'pattern' to show u, it gives u the real stuff.

the new chuan bei pi pa gao ad. i jus noticed it today. i guess i watched it before but all along i tot this was miriam yeung (杨千桦). becos miriam yeung was in the last 1 and 2 pi pa gao ad and so i tot it was yet another one. somemore it was dubbed in chinese and the dubber is like the same one for miriam and her, i tot it was her. and she does look like miriam yeung lah. but woa. it's fiona leh. only when i watched academy that i knew how famous she actually is. woa. fiona leh. watch it.

and fiona sit seems to be taking over stuff that once had miriam. like love undercover 新扎师妹3's female lead is fiona not miriam.

i jus realised that the initial dateline for application for nus scholarships is 15mar. phew. and that they extended another 10days. heng. better faster go find gplow on monday. not much time left. and my 2000 characters essay on any 'exceptional achievement'. hais. wat kind of exceptional achievement can a commoner in ac have? um. i can eat canteen yong tau fu 5 days a wk. woa.



nxt thing. i saw law ka ying today. actually it was becos me felicia and yueting wanted to go bugis that area from city hall and so we wanted to take a short cut by walking through raffles hotel. and there were like 10odd people lined up in 2 rows waiting for some vip and half of them were wearing this 仁心慈爱 shirt. i tot it would be mayday. or jus nancy sit. but hais. such a disappointment. and i jus saw on tv that roger kwok is comin too. hais. we shd have waited and maybe he would appear after law ka ying.

watched my 2nd ep of always ready. it's rather boring lah. read from somewhere that 'always ready' is purposely in the mould of triumph in the skies and tvb hopes by doing so can get the same good response as triumph lah.

so i guess ekin cheng = francis ng. the same movie star come film one tvb drama.

bowie lam = joe ma. the representative from tvb so that the movie star wont steal all the limelight, must be one-brother (一哥)

charm sheh = flora chan. the female representative of tvb. must be some one-sister(一姐)

shirley yeung = myolie wu. the young chirpy one that will make the movie star fall in love with her.

and the bunch of trainees/cadet pilots to bring down the average age of the actors.

after the 'it' scene for sam tong in triumph, i found one from the academy.



this is like the best scene in 'the academy'. pak kiu crying in front of lee-sir's cofin. lap man can cry. the girls can cry. but only when pak kiu cry u noe how bad lee-sir's death is.

feel so relieved now that i submitted my nus application. hahaha. but i dunno whether i chose correctly. was struggling with myself on whether to put a faculty that i like becos i can make full use of my brain there and risk comin out as a nerd or to choose a faculty that is more flexible, confirm no nerd but maybe i may end up slping during lectures (like econs). but i chose the former lah. computing first, science second and FASS third. can u believe it. i chose computing as first choice lah. hahahaha. hais.

finally. finished my 32eps academy. omg. it's damn nice. it's the nicest tvb shows i've ever watched following triumph in the skies.

right from the start i knew that lee-sir will die and from ep30 they have been hinting that lee-sir will die(like how suddenly lee-sir starts talking abt we'll settle another day, the future will be good etc.), but the death of lee-sir still had a big impact. it's really wah biang. i wanna kill the scriptwriter for killing him off.

i dun mind the pak kiu fake father will die. or maybe even if ah-fa's brother to die. or even bong-xiu's father (the guy who acted in triumph as a pilot and lives in japan one. cant rmb his name). but not lee-sir. wah lau ehhhh.

i was hoping pak kiu will noe that lee-sir is his father maybe a day or two before he dies. not when simultaneously lee-sir is dying at some other place. stupid lah. suddenly the whole chong lap man and family thing seems so insignificant lah. hais. stupid lah. kill off lee-sir.

down to my last 4eps of academy. :( pak kiu pak kiu!! (oh yah. after watching 20odds eps, i realised he got uneven tanning on his face. hahahaha.) and now i noe one more member of the legendary 五虎将 from tvb. i heard my dad that they were like the idol of their time. some pictures.


the first everyone shd noe lah. second guy u will noe him if u watch tvb dramas in the late 90s. and the third guy is lee-sir!!! hahahaha. the forth guy also very obvious. eh. but i dunno the last guy.





so they were idols. errrrr. yah. lee-sir!!! hahahahaha.

my stomach has been churning and churning every now and then since the day before. u noe since young ur mum will always tell u tat 'it's okay to have a diarrhoea now and then and it will go away after a day' but it's not going away. and i dun seem to be able to find anything at home that can cure my diarrhoea. hais. im gonna shivel up very soon.

so yup. my first week since im jobless. as how xinyun says lah i wont want to work once im out of work. hahaha. life's like how i expectd it. nth to do. very very happy. but i feel kinda useless. planning to work on one script and finish reading the 'ideas' book in kino before i start on my next work. since i've decided to go nus, i guess i have to pursue my interest in another way lah. maybe like watching movies into the wee hours everyday and go for lectures with panda eyes. haha. coool.



watched jus follow law. every comment that i heard from people after the show was negative. but i liked it. serious. deep down from my heart. although like how people always say jackneo's movies dun look like a movie. it's more of a tv show film in a letterbox shape. it doesnt have big scenes, big stories but somehow it touched us deep down somewhere. esp all the office politics things, it's exactly like how our offices are. all the cc, bcc, hahahaha.



read it from iweekly with an interview with a guy who invests on movies. he said something like 'tvb is like our university' and actually to think abt it, it's true right. chowyunfatt came from tvb, tonyleung too, andylau and tonnes of directors who graduated from their film school. and i think we need this too. and maybe jackneo can help. i wonder how his jteam academy is doing.



watching price of greed. it's a very simple touching story. it's a warehoused show, like net decpetion and greed mask. tiny production with small budget and small cast. it gets quite irritating sometimes when kate tsui go hysterical and that i've already watched till ep7 (the show only has 20eps) and sammul chan has yet to appear. ever since TITS i've been only watching tvb shows that have at least 1 member of S4 as part of the main cast. price of greed has half a S4 and academy has half too. watch it when u are free. fully watchable on youtube, canto audio chinese subs. (:

actually i didnt read this article but instead the respond column on this article on mypaper attracted my attention. as always, stuff on elite schools and their kids always attract 2 very different kinds of responses from people. one in which people disagree to elite schools and the outrageous actions from these kids, and the other which are supportive or at least pitiful of those in these schools.

most of the responds were straight forward: are u crazy? 4As still not happy? is it good enough to get a job. blah blah blah.

but to think this is understandable. to study in a sch where 55% of the kids get 4As and above(and that's 676 kids), somehow the passing grade has already been pushed to A.

some says As are really 'advanced' as how its name states. a large syllabus crammed into 2yrs while spending more than 12hrs a day in sch after cramming in CCAs practices. but actually As syllabus really is very much similiar to Os and almost a continual to it.

think abt this: 'u have done it once, and u noe the rules of the game, then aim for a highest score!!'u have been thru it once, squeezing the whole Os syllabus in the short time span of 2yrs (sec3 and 4), it would be natural that one can achieve more with As, since the number of subjects is halved and u have already gotten used to the cambridge way of doing stuff(unlike the transition from psle to Os).

and no no adults, these kids did not cry/whine/pay 160bucks the papers becos they felt that they could not get scholarships or jobs. it is how u feel when u cant manage to beat a high score or finish 8laps in daytona(or 10 depending which arcade u go). it's not that u lost, but not achieving the best.

but one day everybody will jus look back and realise that it's peanuts.

okay. back to my ipod business. cos most of the time my sis will be hogging the ipod and when she doesnt she's hogging the computer. so i only have the before bedtime hr to touch the ipod. and now my sis's at obs, i can hog both the computer and the ipod!! muahahahaha.

i think my sis has obs phobia in her. and i think i am the cause of it. ever since i returned from obs, everyday i would tell her stuff like 'when u go obs, u not careful ur specs will drop into the sea and u will never get it back' and 'sandfly bites damn itchy, can itch for wks!!' until she kinda hope she dun hav to go there. hahaha. die.

out of the blue, i've gotten myself a half day. i guess it shd be called an 'earthquake break'. haha. cos the building im working in is rather old and the big bosses werent sure of our safety if we continued staying in the building and so everyone could go. but. i'll have 18bucks less lah. the building shook twice, one before lunch and one after lunch. tmr i must try the teh terik along the way i walk when i go china sq before i leave that place to start on my portfolio. sigh.

the last ep of huayang was over and u noe i still haven started watching it properly, i only took a few sneaks when my sis is watching. it's really fast. anw, the nxt gtv show that is taking over the time slot is summerxsummer.

eh. summerxsummer has joe cheng, ethan ruan, danson tang, xiaogui and cai yizhen. actually the show looks a bit stupid. hahahaha. and cai yizhen's character is kinda similiar to nodame.

didnt really bother to blog abt the results. okay lah. so 2mar07 was the big day and perhaps the last day we can openly sway into ac. overall results was okay, but not as good as how me and ong wanted to be. the top 2 had 8distinctions (sigh) and the rest werent as good as last yr. me and ong were hoping that our batch can break some record like beating the traditional top5 schools or something like that, but i guess we didnt do it.

but. sb5 broke our past records. we have 3 4As!! hahaha.

the night before results release felicia and i agreed on how to release our results to each other:

5As - suck lah
4As - suck like hell

u good lah. still say cant get into the course u wan. is not whether they wan u, is whether u wan them lah. haha.

at the age of 18, i have to choose wat to do for my life. sigh.

option1: try psc, earn big bucks for the government and lead a comfortable life
option2: try singapore airlines, join the mangement and control the future of spore airlines
option3: try ida and wish one day i can join microsoft/apple/google and be a programmer
option4: try ADM with ntu scholarship and spend 4yrs doing art but without a confirmed job
option5: when all fails, jus join ADM and see where laotian leads me to

the idea of studying for free is far too attractive. so after this morning of pondering, im gonna go try for caas, astar, psc, ida and nanyang. and im gonna be firm on getting into ADM. although it sounds absurb lah, psc to get into ADM? hahaha. heck lah.

most of the scholarships didnt mention gp (yay.) though caas wans a distinction in gp. sigh.

and mcdull is really getting into me. he's so funny lah.
