it was freezing during chem s lesson today when i tot of this:

physics s requires some basic knowledge, some thinking and a whole lot of abilitypatience to differentiate(integrate) a whole long chain of greek letters and to simplify an equation that is so long that needs two lines to finish writing.

while chem s requires some common sense, some tenacity and a whole lot of creativity to throw in some chemical on the left side of the equation and some other on the right and argue ur way through that this will actually work.

今天在地铁上看见一个日本青年。

1. that today newspaper has 2 editions and the afternoon one with world cup updates comes out at 11am.
2. that jurong east regional lib opens at 10, nt 11. hais.
3. the shortest way to reach victoria concert hall from city hall train station is thru padang.
4. cine has a cool korean shop that sells everything. it's like a bao ka liao shop!!
5. that the newpaper is 70cents and the straits times is 80cents per copy.
6. one of the few places in orchard that offers photo developing service is at centrepoint and they charge 40cents per piece if u collect 4hrs later, 50cents an hr later.
7. that dogs have a strange affinity with me that all of them like to chase me.
8. that angmoh eat very hard pasta. coz i bought pasta home to cook and the instruction said 10min but it took me 25min of boiling before the pasta reached an edible form.
9. that puma retail shops in spore dun sell towels.
10. that england's jersery brand is actually umbro.

and to top these off, ive become an expert in first order D.E and complex numbers (w/o loci)!! yay. haha. coz i made myself sit down from 7pm onwards the day before the retest and to finish every single qn off the tutorial so i could pass the test. heh.

actually not many ppl noe i jus got myself a digistillcam. heh.

never tot one day i would come to become a cybershot fan. before this, i always tot cybershot cameras were far too idiot proof (and thus limiting wat u can do) and the colour that comes out is kinda weird. (there's a certain tinge of yellow in their photos)

and not to tok abt its built-in flash. i guess becoz when u change to a flash forced on, the camera takes it that the surrounding is so bright that a super fast shutter speed is needed. and so the picture that comes out is very bright for near objects (eg. human beings) and very dark for distant (eg. background) which makes it look so... not nice.

so i was super against all cybershots. and was on the side of canon and minolta. and had of course wanted an ixus all my life.(becoz it's idiot proof, cool and yet has shutter speed and apeture priority.)

but becoz of the low budget that me and my sis had, we have to settle on sth cheaper lah. and chose sony's cybershot W-50.

and i was quite shocked at wat a gd gadget we got out of a mere 489bucks. the photos all had a certain tinge that k750i couldnt offer. and becoz of it's weight, it's a much steady camera than k750i's.

anw, now i've got a black k750i, black W50, i jus need a black ipod video to end off.

i actually went on a mrt tour to find mypaper. mainly becos of lee jun ki i guess. went to buona vista to pass sth to hussein and then on my way back to yew tee i saw someone holding today's mypaper and lee junki was on the cover.

and also becos i haven gotten my hands on a single copy of mypaper yet since the start of its circulation, i tot i might jus try my luck and go to a mrt station to see if they are givin out. first stop i got out at je. actually it was part of my plan to get out at je becos of the stupid overstay thing of mrt. so i got down and they were givin out today newspaper. hais. wrong.

so i u-turned and was hoping yew tee has lah. got down at yew tee and they werent even giving out any newspaper. nvm. so i took the train and got down at cck. and purposely took a long way to the lrt station to get myself a copy of mypaper.

yay. my first copy of mypaper!! haha.

so spore's finally starting its publicity on king and the clown. it was splash across the entertainment section of wanbao, it has a page in this wk's 8days and of course the trailers on tv. recently jus found out that statstics shown that 1 in every 4 koreans caught king and the clown. and it was on for a whole 110days, which is almost 4mths!? woa.

but i dun think it will get the same respond from spore. which japanese or korean movie except um, waterboys got gd response in spore?

anw, i tot king and the clown is worth the time watching. it's not a movie with happy ending and actually to think of it, none of the incidents in movie can be considered 'good'. much of the dialogues had sexual implication and i cant consider the leads to be good lookin. but somehow it's the sadism that makes the movie appealing.

this movie is often publicised as the 'korean brokeback' becos of the gays implication in the show. but somehow the relationships between the men are not clear,(except maybe between the king and the clown) u may guess the guys like each other, but nth much is said. i really tot they were jus friends lah, only knew abt the gay thing after readin some reviews.

i jus realised that i actually missed out a lot on djg when it was showin on ch u. so im now watching the vcd version that i borrowed from yueyun.

and according to where i watch until now, zheng shang gong jus died. hais. stupid cui shang gong and gang.

woa. like after 4 whole yrs of koreasoccer-less life, i managed to catch the live telecast of their first match of the world cup in germany!! thanx to felicia, who kindly gave up 90min of her tv time watching other perhaps better show to let me watch the match against togo last night. haha.

togo scored one and korea nil in the first half and i really tot they were going to lose. esp after how togo went cocky after their first goal. urgh. obviously it was a mistake by the korea defenders and that lee won jae almost touched the ball. sigh. and for the whole of the first 45min korea dun even seem like the one in 2002, they werent even fighting. so most of their shots were like way off.

the closest they got to a goal was the free kick by number 6 (i cant rmb his name). but the shot was super off lah. i think he knew it too. and it was quite indecent of him to pull his white shorts all the way up before takin the shot.

but 2nd half was cool. first, they got ahn jung hwan on. he was damn on form yesterday lah. if the whole of the 45min korea was defendin only, after ahn jung hwan got on they finally started attacking.

it's not that i like ahn jung hwan. eh. never was a fan of his long curly messy hair or his beautiful ms korea(?) wife. i didnt understand why they even got his wife into the news 4yrs ago. it was like har!? haha.

anw, he was damn gd yday and lee won jae too. he saved this togo free kick which i tot was going in. woa.

and on the fifawc website, ahn jung hwan was voted man of the match. he deserve it.

park ji sung was not bad too. but he like kena tripped over 3 or 4 times? but he dun go round acting like he's in pain or wat. cool.

oh. and this togo guy damn farnee lah. he slipped and felt on his own and had to be carried out with a stretcher. and it's not black magic k. korean players also fell wah. just that maybe they noe taekwondo or sth so they could fall and get up again. muahaha.

and throughout the 90min i was pinching and punching felicia coz she was obviously against korea. i was damn scared lee chun soo wont get the free kick in. and togo's corner/free kick might jus accidentally get in. sigh.

opening in spore on 22june2006. and i think it was shown in korea like last yr end? wah. anw, this movie is good!! as in i tot the plot is very clever and the actors are good too. it touches on gays and quite a lot of sexual stuff so it's an NC16 show. but that's not the point. it can be seen as an artistic movie more than a commercial one. many hidden meanings here and there. only that i dunno whether it's worth like 9bucks for it.

and by the way, the king in the show is king Yeonsangun , the same king as the one in dae jang geum who had his mother killed in the first episode. not the one that like chang jin but the one they overthrown on episode 4 i think. yup.

i think i cant grow up to be a villain.

i dunno why but everytime i do sth bad, i'll tremble. haha.

and we decided to eat at nyp. hey. my first time gettin into nyp!! it's not bad. and the food court looks very 'in'. they sold chicken chop for $3.50 and so i guess it's quite cheap.



and we left for suntec to watch xmen. haha. i really tot no one will spot me coz most probably they will think they saw someone hu look like me but not possibly me. hais. and i was spotted not by one, but 4!! hais. first ong, then georgia, then a ny girl, then a pri sch classmate.

and guess wat's the first thing that ong said when she saw me. 'u look very ugly in this leh.' fine. haha.

so we got our tickets for xmen at around 2 and went round suntec. and we spotted this damn cool shop called 'popcorn pop' (to me lah, i think felicia wasnt as fascinated as me)



it's not that i dunno of this shop before today. but it just surprises me with each visit. it's just.... very cool. and their posters are always the newest. they were sellin this tiny poster from japan. it's actually those free movie pamphlet sort of thing from cinemas but those from japan are real nice. but they are sellin for 5bucks each. cheat my $$. another time lah.

xmen was good. though there was no plot(like kungfu hustle). but i dun hav to watch 1 and 2 to understand wat's happening in 3. though the very last part u have to. coz i heard it's a scene from part 1 or 2. the same tactic they used in wujiandao. and i like the xaiver guy. he's very firm. eh. yah.

and do you noe that they actually opened the part beside carefour in suntec to sell food. it's like a tiny market with many stalls. i guess that's the 'in' thing now for f&b. there was this store sellin taiwan bubble tea. and they mean 'taiwan'. the cup's much taller than the spore one and their helping of pearls is much more generous. and their pearl is really 'Q' in taiwanese terms, not those soggy type u get from other stores.
